  1. Low is my favourite Bowie album, i've listened to it a lot recently. Stuck on Blackstar the other night it's incredible.
  2. It's such a frustrating situation, there is a problem but let's get some cheap laughs so as not to upset the "tiny minority" Without going into detail ( and this probably should be on the sectarian thread ) but one of the deciding factors for me leaving Scotland was sectarianism directed at me by so called friends turning on me as I refused to provide an alibi when they had got into a fight after an old firm game, I'm a atheist Killie fan from Ayrshire and the tiny minority thing is nonsense. I was going to leave anyway but that situation helped speed up the process.
  3. It's a pile of sh*te, Tam saying keep the humour in sectarianism and telling a story about some guy who's king billy tattoo got messed up during a heart operation, really??? why even mention that? total dark ages stuff, if the debate was about racism and the guy in question had a racist tattoo would it be brought up? No, typical Tam he's only interested in getting cheap and frankly outdated laughs. Or have I missed the point and he only told the story so he could shoehorn in something about his restaurant reviews?
  4. Black and White cats taking over, Monty likes this
  5. Had quite a decent collection when i was in my teens and early twenties, sold or gave away most of it when i left Scotland as it was too much to take with me, got a record player a few years ago and have started buying vinyl again regularly, the only semi annoying thing is im buying stuff that i used to own, in some cases i'm buying albums for the 2nd or 3rd time, case in point i reckon i've bought Low by Bowie at least 3 times. Anyway this is what i treated myself to this week.
  6. It was a sweatbox that night! Its all a bit hazy but i recall Matt appearing behind me mega pissed off
  7. Sure it was him that stormed off? Saw them every time they've played Amsterdam in the last 10 years, they played Bitterzoet and Matt Hollywood played a duff note, Anton ripped into him and Matt stormed off only to appear through a door at my back cursing under his breath "I'm done with that asshole"... Next time i saw them Matt was there. Great band but Anton is an utter fanny
  8. I love The Delgados, went to see Arab Strap at the barrowlands in 2016 got a beer and turned round to see Emma, Stewart and Paul strolling towards me, almost went full on fan boy but managed to keep it together
  9. They just f*ckin do it and have always done so every time I've saw them live, they have such a rich back catalogue and are such a professional band, this is what has given them their longevity. Dandys rule OK!
  10. He is a total c*nt! I don't actually have to suffer his media exploits but that 13 year old goalie thing highlighted just how big a c*nt he is and then there's that Dubai helicopter nonsense.
  11. Saw a mouse in the apartment today (amsterdam is full of them) did Monty do anything? Did he f**k! He did look at me as if to say "leave it with me i'll sort it out later"
  12. Saw them Saturday night in Amsterdam for the 7th time, cracking show as always. Dandy rule ok
  13. Zeker weten! I was out for dinner last night and it was very quiet in Amsterdam.
  14. There is so much to love about this Killie team right now, so many players playing out of their skin, Power, Burke, Findlay, Bachmann...the list goes on and on, a team of winners, this really is a golden age for Ayrshires finest.
  15. Come and visit me mate, i live in the wild west of Amsterdam, we got fatties and litter everywhere. For the most part your post is correct but there are shitty parts over here as well.
  16. It sure is, I received a bottle of the 14yo Caribbean cask as a gift from a client yesterday, it goes down way too easy.
  17. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-46828770 Sound advice from the dutch security services
  18. Amazing! The Engineer is a modern classic imo. Only got to see them a couple of times in The Netherlands, once supporting Arab Strap on their farewell tour and then just after they'd released Prevention, great band.
  19. How were De Rosa? Been years since i saw them over here, one of my favourite Scottish bands
  20. Monty spent the whole day yesterday catching up on his sleep and snoring like crazy, the fireworks situation over here is insane, he spent the whole of the 31st in his safe space terrified.
