England have destroyed the Kiwis in the two T20s this week. They won the first one by 7 wickets chasing 144 with 36 balls to spare, then last night batted first and scored 198-4 before skittling NZ for 103 inside 14 overs.

Playing with Meronk who was flying and also having in the back of his mind that he had never made the cut there couldn't have helped either, but he did play a handful of stinking shots and missed putts that he needs to be holing a higher percentage of. The iron off the tee on 17 went as wide as I'm sure some of us could manage, if you are playing percentages like that then you have to execute properly. Hopefully he can relax a bit and have a weekend similar to last week, as he said himself post round the course is there fir the taking.

Finally Bob holes a putt for a birdie 2 on 16.

Meronk birdies 15 to tie for the lead. Paul gets up and down from the bunker for birdie. Bob hit the green in 2, but had a putt from about 95 feet for eagle, but can't hole his birdie effort. Two pars at the par 5s and right on the cut line.

Bob wilting a bit as Meronk goes to just one off the lead, Bob got a huge stroke of luck with his drive in 14 flirting with the driving range fence and coming back into play. He couldn't take advantage though and could only par as Meronk and Paul both birdied it.

He said post match that he'll be thinking things over, but one positive going forward is his improved ranking will give him better chances in tournaments.
