  1. Petershill goals from Saturday's 3-1 win against Ardrossan Winton Rovers at Kilbirnie.
  2. On the subject of PGA cards, Laird is currently 147th and Knox 206th so they both need a miracle over the fall series of events to keep their cards. https://www.pgatour.com/article/news/how-it-works/fedexcup-fall-playoffs-standings-how-it-works-51-70-125
  3. He should just have finished, he was missing the playoffs anyway and although his card isn't quite nailed on for next year he is currently 105th with the top 125 keeping their card. He was 113th before the weekend.
  4. There's a pub near the train station but you will be welcome in the social club.
  5. It's just awful. Some people still think that depression is a sign of a mental weakness, but when you watched him play against some of the fiercest fast bowlers of the time then there was no doubt about how tough he was mentally. Depression is a dreadful illness, and sadly too many people still don't get the help that they need in time.
  6. It doesn't come as a shock tbh, I got the impression from some of the interviews from his former teammates that he had taken his own life. https://www.bbc.com/sport/cricket/articles/cy84x7rrppno
  7. Pretty much. Hopefully he takes 3 to get out the rough.
  8. Aaron Rai has been knocking on the door for the last couple of months, but finally gets a win at the Wyndham. It's still showing as suspended as 1 player still has to finish. That player is Matt Kuchar, he hit his drive in the rough on the last, and decided it was too dark and he would come back and finish this morning. Maybe understandable if he was in contention, but he had slipped way down the leaderboard by then. His playing partner Max Greyserman was in second spot and finished his round along with the 3rd man in their group Chad Ramey.
  9. Diving was held at the Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh, so could happen again. They would need to replace the surface at Scotstoun for the field events, but still much cheaper than converting Hampden again.
  10. The finances behind it are a joke tbh. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2016/nov/02/west-ham-olympic-stadium-deal-explained-london-mayor-sadiq-khan
  11. Could well be true, just about everywhere since has had to spend a fortune on stadiums and other venues.
  12. Scotland represented at the closing ceremony by David McCallum. Who would have put money on that.
  13. Tbf to the BBC, for all the Danny Murphy and Jermaine Jenas types that pollute their football coverage, the vast majority of their Olympic team are all very knowledgeable about their sports and most of them can talk about it capably. I get that Laura Kenny can be a buit grating for some folk, but she's fine for me as she does know her stuff and has first hand experience of lots of the track events. She was obviously way out with the number of golds but every member of the track team has won at least 1 medal.
  14. Barring a miracle, it's a missed cut for Bob at the Wyndham. In the clubhouse at -2, cut already at -3 with plenty of players still on the course.
