  1. Been some week for keepers making a James Hunt of it.
  2. Made a point of leaving at the crack of dawn, was on the road before 6 am. Haven't driven it for a long time but it was always trying to time it to hit the bits passing Preston and Birmingham at the right times.
  3. About 20 years ago I drove down to Exeter to stay with relatives, the 440 miles or so took me about 6 hours on a Sunday. Later that week my uncle was on a job in Newquay and had forgotten to take some stuff with him, I took it down for him, took me over 2 hours to do the 80 miles from Exeter to Newquay. Caravans should be banned in daylight hours.
  4. The two week franchise tag window opened today, closes on March 7th. Reports are that the 49ers are highly unlikely to use it on anyone, but they did tag Robbie Gould the last time his contract was ending. He agreed to a 4 year $19 million dollar contract well before the season started though. The tag contract for a kicker this year would be $5.4 million per year, largely due to Justin Tucker's 6 million per year.
  5. Some good news for Scottish golf, The Open have confirmed that the top 30 on last year's Race to Dubai have all qualified for Hoylake. That means MacIntyre, Ferguson, Ramsay and Syme are in already.
  6. They have signed Pieters and Lee this week tbf.
  7. Haven't bought a paper regularly since I went constant nightshift in October 2010.
  8. And now confirmed as he moves to number 1 on the OWGR.
  9. Astonishing run of form. 28th August he was T16th at The Tour Championship. Since then he has played 10 tourneys, won 5, and was placed 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8th in the other 5.
  10. Not going to lie, I was almost an hour between my 4th and 5th guesses. Wordle 610 5/6
  11. The DP World Tour might face more guys like him leaving, he is 34th in the world but he was complaining on Twitter how that isn't high enough to get an invite to Riviera this week. When you look at the strategic alliance it's a shitshow for European players in regards to how owgr points are awarded.
  12. Sunset is around 5.30 pm, but the biggest problem is the two starting holes. The first is a reachable par 5, the 10th a driveable par 4, lots of groups haven't even started on time.
  13. Complete opposite of yesterday's finish for Tiger as he bogeys 3 of his last 4 holes. That leaves him on +1 and a shot outside the cut, but he will probably make the weekend as their is a good chance that the cut line will move in his favour. Also a good time to point out that West Coast tourneys are shite.
  14. Hard to argue with this tbh, Bob played well at the Hero Cup, but his best finish of the year so far was 20th. He missed the cut last weekend and made it through right on the cut line in Thailand today. I don't think he has recaptured any sort of consistent form since he played 4 or 5 tourneys in the US towards the end of summer in 2021, when he missed most of the cuts. I think his confidence took a battering then and he has struggled to get it back.
  15. An opening 69 for Tiger at Riviera closing with 3 birdies, he's 5 behind Homa. The big challenge now is the late finish and early start for him with cool weather forecast for tomorrow. Also, as if anyone needs reminding, Ian Poulter is a c**t.
