  1. As he has told the shop, if they had said it was going to be anything more than 8 weeks he wouldn't have ordered them. Not sure tbh. He's going up to the shop on Monday to strangle the manager.
  2. You would think so. Would guess Starc will come out swinging hard.
  3. Decent catch by Hameed, Australia 390-7 at tea. Only the tail left, so they will probably add another 150.
  4. Smith out for 93, 385-6. Australia might have thought about declaring later to have an hour or so under the lights with the new ball.
  5. Decent session for England, 302-5 at lunch.
  6. Labuschagne gets his ton, gets caught behind off Robinson on 102 but gets his third reprieve of the innings as it's a front foot no ball. He doesn't get to add many though as he is finally out lbw off Robinson for 103. Aussies up to 251-3 and it is bloody roasting. Bowlers look knackered already.
  7. That might be the worst attempt at a throw I've ever seen from Mahomes. Chargers quickly up to midfield.
  8. I really can't fathom why teams don't take an easy three points, stuff the "analytics". I'd much rather be 7 points up than 4.
  9. Posted before about my workmate's ongoing saga with his new Ping irons. He was custom fitted at the EK branch of American Golf last May and was originally told 6-7 weeks for delivery. 8 weeks comes and goes with no contact from the shop, so he contacts them to be told there was a delay and it would be August. He wasn't pleased, but thought at least he would get the last couple of months of the season with them. September arrives, still nothing from the shop, once again he has to contact them for an update this time it would be late October/early November delivery. Rinse and repeat in mid November, this time when he phones they tell him the clubs are definitely arriving in the country on 10th December, and should take 5 days max to reach the branch. He phoned on Monday 13th to be told they won't be in until March. He is understandably seething, especially at how shite the customer service has been throughout.
  10. I'll be submitting my team in between Christmas and New Year when I can cheer myself up a bit from the usual festive season depression. I will of course be rewarding the survivors from this year's team for their outstanding loyalty by including them again next year, possibly even promoting a couple to captain/vice captain roles.
  11. Yep, the first one wasn't simple by any means but it was right in his gloves, has to be held on to. Actually surprised to get out of bed and find that England were only 1 over short of the 90.
  12. The rwo drops more than cancel out the brilliance of the one he did take.
  13. Feel sorry for the bowlers tbh, they have all came charging in but as usual the pink ball offered nothing in those conditions. They've done a decent job of curtailing the run rate, but they also did that for most of day 2 in the last test then lost a lot of runs in the final session as the bowlers tired.
  14. They were talking last night about the poseible punishments if they were to bowl as slowly as they did in the last match. Root being suspended for a game would be the most likely.
  15. God knows what they will come up with if she has to sit it out. I said to the missus, does AJ even have to dance? It's all down to the public vote anyway and you can bet 99.9% of folk who vote have already decided who they will vote for.
  16. Watched It Takes Two earlier, AJ suffered an ankle ligament injury on Monday and is having to walk with a crutch. She was in bits and imo there is only a miniscule chance of her dancing on Saturday.
  17. We all know Wood is made of glass but it is ripping the pish a bit that he isn't ready to play again, especially with an extra day rest after the first Test finished early
  18. One change for Australia for tomorrow with Hazlewood injured, Jhye Richardson takes his place. England still to confirm the team, but Anderson and Broad have been added to the squad with Mark Wood rested.
  19. It's like Sheffield Utd last season, spent plenty for little substance.
  20. They haven't looked much better than tonight when everyone was available. They spent £8m on a centre back who couldn't get a game for Burnley. Spent 5m on Gunn from Southampton when one of the few positions they had proven top flight quality was with Krul in goal. Also supposedly a hefty loan fee for Kabak who didn’t look anywhere near EPL quality last year at Liverpool.
