    You do have to query the wisdom of a 34 year old starting his 3rd game in 7 days after playing the full 90 minutes in the previous 2. Spurs have been playing Thursday and Sunday almost all season, no different from playing Wednesday & Saturday. Liverpool play Ajax on Tuesday so had to play today, there's no way playing at 12.30 instead of 3.00 makes that much difference, and no doubt if they were playing later that would also be a moan for being too close to Tuesday.

    Can't see this ending well for most European players, especially with Jay Monaghan getting a seat on the European Tour board and a stake in the media company. Looks more like a takeover than an alliance, and long term I can see it cutting down playing opportunities for the lower ranked European players.

    His legal team got there arses kicked yet again in the courts in Pennsylvania, with the full 21 page judgement available here. What the legal papers show is that there is a huge difference between what his team claim in press conferences, and what they are willing to put their name to in court. Judge Bibas is a Trump appointee too.

    Decent game too. Australia's top order did their job well with Warner, Finch and Smith scoring 278 between them. Quick cameo by Maxwell adding 45 took them up to 374-6. India slipped to 101-4, but Dhawan and Pandya have kept them in it, with the latter hitting a 31 ball 50.

    Alex Smith must be a shoe in for comeback player of the year, never thought we would see him suited up again never mind starting and winning games. That fake punt by Dallas was hilarious and mind-blowingly bad play calling at the same time. And this was one of the plays of the game for me by McLaurin.

    A necessary evil on inland courses, I certainly don't rush out to play during the winter when I know there are always going to be quite a few. Some down to the overnight weather, others due to winter maintenance work in progress. At least now we get notice in the morning via Twitter as to what is in play. I'm quite happy to let the greenstaff take the lead as our greens have been superb the last few summers, with the right amount of rest in the winter playing a big part in that.
