  1. That was an astounding stat about Arsenal on MOTD, that was their first away win against a team above them in the table since September 2015.
  2. Pulisic has been excellent for Chelsea since the restart, he was just starting to put in some really good performances when the season stopped, but he has hit the ground running again.
  3. My golf club Facebook page had a few posts from folk demanding the bar be opened so we can open up the "beer garden". We have 3 picnic tables at the side of the clubhouse, even with 1m social distancing you would only get 12 folk maximum.
  4. I hit some shite shots today, but nowt as bad as this.
  5. The original is in Kelvingrove now, it's huge, something like 5ft x 4ft. The building itself is in Dowanhill at the corner of Roxburgh Street and Saltoun Street.
  6. Doddie Weir's 50th birthday today.
  7. All I can say is, at least I didn't NR. [emoji85] Played some excellent shots, but too many poor tee shots left me struggling.
  8. Game on for our first competition of the year, out at 9.30, first time off the white tees for me since last July!
  9. The One Show was on in the background earlier, and there was a feature about Italia 90. It finished with a montage of various players, it annoys me far more than it probably should that the clip of Marco van Basten they used was after he had scored his remarkable volley in the final of Euro 88, rather than being from 1990.
  10. She'll just copy Epstein's "5th amendment rights" bullshit.
  11. Bishopbriggs was closed today with a bit of flooding after torrential rain through the night and a fair chunk of today. Rain is off now and hopefully stays off overnight to give the Captain's start a chance of going ahead tomorrow.
  12. If I could cut out the occasional brain fart I would take about 6 shots off my handicap in no time. Always hit an iron off the tee at our 5th hole, it should leave you about 110 yards or so to the green. Sliced yesterday's effort, lucky to find it in deep rough, had to chop it out sideways, next shot ended up just off the green, should have been a simple up and down for a bogey. Aye right, bladed my chip through the green into the bunker, hit a decent bunker shot but ended up with a 7. This was coming off the back of parring the previous 3 holes, having hit all 3 greens in regulation. Overall though I am striking my irons really well, and my putting has been excellent for the most part. Consistency off the tee is my biggest problem at the moment.
  13. Looking forward to going to a beer garden on Monday.
  14. Players on the Korn Ferry tour this weekend will be faced with a 773 yard par 5. It's at altitude at TPC Colorado just north of Denver though, with the rule of thumb being that your ball travels roughly 6% further at 1 mile above sea level.
  15. BBC are running couple of shows of Andy Murray's best moments over the weekend. They are also running a poll to pick his best. Andy Murray: Vote for your favourite career moment - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/52969297 Nothing beats his first Wimbledon win for me.
  16. At least the Spurs defence are taking the 2m social distancing seriously, none of them got near an attacker in the build up. Nice set up by Berger for McBurnie to kill the game.
  17. Cracking conditions for a late afternoon round today, played well too which helps. 89 for a nett 68, would bite your hand off for that in the Captain's Start on Saturday. Few shots chucked away too, including a couple of 3 putts.
  18. Held out for the win, Leicester have been dismal in front of goal since the restart, 2 goals in 4 games now. They've now only managed one win in their last 8 league games.
  19. Yep, it's where Furyk shot 58. Sub 7000 yards and iirc there is only 1 par 4 over 450 yards, the rest of them are pitch and putt for the pros. 65 out of 68 players who made the weekend finished under par.
  20. We did use them when we first moved in, they chucked it after 4 or 5 years. One of our guys then disabled them so the just freewheeled, but a year or so back Glasgow Life got them working again. First home game we had they worked for about 10 minutes and have never worked since.
  21. They made the mistake of putting electric ones in, which have since chucked it, and with the estimated repair bill running into thousands Glasgow Life have no inclination to fix them.
