  1. Yes, my work has a load of temp mechanics at the moment who have been furloughed from elsewhere. They had to sign a contract though stating they will return to their original jobs as soon as they ask for them back.
  2. 3 balls now given the go ahead, we are hoping to run our first competition on 4th July. Speith hit a 66 today, even with a triple bogey 7 on his card. Scorched his way around the back 9. Poulter currently tied for the lead on -7. Did anyone read Rory's comments yesterday? Said he can't understand European players who have decided not to play in the US and have stayed at home. Bit harsh on players with young families imo.
  3. The gopher from Caddyshack has finally carked it, or at least the guy with his hand up it's arse did. https://movieweb.com/pat-brymer-dead-puppeteer/
  4. I take it to mean things like MUGAs in public parks which have been officially closed, although that hasn't stopped the kids round our way using them.
  5. Plans submitted to reduce Dougalston from 18 holes to 9. Not hard to guess what they want to do with the land. https://www.bunkered.co.uk/golf-news/popular-scots-course-to-be-reduced-from-18-to-9-holes We have a new resident at Bishopbriggs, a very young fawn has been spotted on the course. The captain posted a video clip on our members Facebook group, need to keep an eye out for it over the weekend.
  6. First thing anybody should be doing when they get a PC or laptop is install Chrome or Firefox. The fuckers at Microsoft have given IE a new name, trying to disguise it's inherent shiteness by calling it "Edge". It's still as slow as a week in jail.
  7. So the Norwich player who tested positive on Saturday, has since returned a negative test. He will now undergo a third test and an antibody test to see if he still has, or if he had, Covid19. Regardless of the outcomes, neither his teammates or the Spurs players he played against are having to isolate.
  8. If they did that at Tesco St Rollox, they would have no staff left to do the picking for click and collect or home deliveries. Every aisle you go down, there will be a Tesco staff member going against the tide.
  9. Don't know about RBS, but my local TSB is open from 10 til 4, but closes for half an hour at lunchtime.
  10. Tell me about it, it's bad enough living in a house with 2 redhead females.
  11. Would love to see Speith get back in the winner's circle.
  12. Doubt he'll ever suffer from King syndrome.
  13. I think you need to go and read about how vaccines work m9.
  14. San Francisco authorities have given the PGA Championship at Harding Park in August the green light, but behind closed doors.
  15. Saw on Twitter some schools doing induction days today for their new S1 intake, this was St Andrews Secondary in Glasgow.
  16. Trouble with a lot of the free apps is that you are not allowed to use them in medal play, anything that has the capability to display elevation changes or wind strength is banned, if you can't disable those functions.
  17. I use a Garmin S2 watch, pretty basic in terms of the info in regards to yardages for the front, middle and rear of greens. You can also toggle through different lay up distances. Does the job for me, especially as they started putting the wee markers on the flags last year to show what part of the green it is in, and with my handicap the middle of the green is my target more often than not.
  18. Dominic Raab said the people who use food banks aren't poor, they just have a cash flow problem.
  19. Given this explanation, is there any reason why football at all levels can't resume, even if it means putting a limit on crowds?
  20. Could be never then if you use that rationale, the only virus that has ever been completely eradicated was smallpox.
  21. 21 cuts made in a row before this one.
