  1. Been scanning a load of stuff to put on the Petershill Facebook page in the last few weeks, I'll stick some of the Scotland pictures on here too.
  2. Must admit I've had a good chuckle to myself about the state of some of my workmates recently. For years they have been telling everybody how vital they are to the service that the council vehicle workshop provides. Different matter now though that they have been classed as key workers, most of them are seething at actually having to go to work.
  3. Before Calderwood committed career suicide, after the first 14 deaths in Scotland were recorded, they estimated that each death could represent up to 1000 infections. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-scotland-52006730/coronavirus-dr-catherine-calderwood-issues-warning-over-infection-rate&ved=2ahUKEwiloojN_6vpAhUTQ0EAHWtIA9MQFjAAegQIBhAC&usg=AOvVaw375fLFk0Y1S9hu2APMnUW- What it all means is that the figures have a huge margin of error, and have no chance if being right until there is a proper testing programme for those with symptoms, or an accurate antibody test for everyone who thinks they may have been infected.
  4. We all love a good graph, pity the PM's was a shocker.
  5. No doubt they have, but they now have less than 2 days to make sure they have everything in place and acceptable to their workers, even more so in places like manufacturing where there is likely to be a trade union representation. Last night's announcement has certainly caught a few folk on the hop, my mate is a golf pro and the earliest get were expecting to be open was June.
  6. Listening to Raab on the radio there. The PM will further explain what measures are to be taken in parliament today, a guidance document for employers will be published tomorrow, but they have somehow to implement these and be ready to open on Wednesday? These people are fucking mental.
  7. They started testing players ahead of the proposed restart, so far 5 have tested positive for Covid19, all of whom were asymptomatic. Coronavirus: Five players test positive across Spain's top two divisions - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52607340
  8. Oswestry golf club is apparently half in Wales, half in England. How does that work? James Corrigan the golf writer expects Wales to start copying England by the weekend.
  9. Admittedly I've had a few drinks since earlier, but from what I can remember Boris said it was ok to play golf in England from Wednesday, as long as it was on a building site with a family member, and you also had to have cycled there?
  10. My brother and I have a lot of friends in Torquay, and they always used to arrange a weekend in Blackpool for an away game near the end of the season. The only fixture that fitted in with the plans was a league match at Darlington that day. Friday night on the piss in Blackpool, then on the bus through to Darlington for the match on Saturday. We walked in to the pub near the ground just in time to see France score, cue plenty abuse from our mates as they were obviously going to canter their way to the grand slam the next day. Everybody looked on incredulous as Scotland then ran amok. Had to leave at half time, fairly confident that Scotland had the win in the bag, followed up by a Torquay win. Even better the next day when Scott Gibbs ran over the top of them late on at Wembley to hand Scotland the championship.
  11. You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.
  12. Top class shithousery by Parks taking an age to kick the winning penalty.
  13. Winning in Dublin is always tough, but to do it with Nick De Luca at centre is all the more remarkable.
  14. The 2010 win in Dublin is live on the SRU Facebook page tonight. Dan Parks finest hour?
  15. It's maddening that our course has been inundated with walkers, cyclists and even family picnics, but we aren't to be trusted to follow social distancing if you dare to pick up a golf club. Nobody is expecting locker rooms or bars to be open immediately, but with sensible precautions people could be playing non competitive golf. One of our members spotted this on the BBC website today, the banks of the streams on the course can be quite soft in places, no doubt the fuckers would be trying to sue us if their little angel gets hurt.
  16. I really hope the GM said "I'm hungry, let's get a taco" at some point.
  17. I've now seen 4 people who have gone to the trouble of getting what look like "proper" surgical masks, then decided to wear then over only their mouth.
