  1. Imo it all comes down to the fact that some committees are made up of older guys who aren't internet savvy and are blissfully unaware of what has happened over the last few years. The WRJFA campaign will be relying largely on trust, not facts, as they will hope that some clubs will follow them blindly wherever they might lead.
  2. One simple fact that the WRSJFA guys can't get away from, despite what they say, is that the Lowland league will only accept one West feeder league, and that will be the one they are creating. No amount of posturing about SFA agms will change that. In that regard some things I would want answered by the WOSFL when they meet with interested clubs: 1. Will all applicants be accepted (assuming they meet any ground criteria)? 2. What is the proposed new league format (Just a rough idea of the plans, obviously numbers will dictate the final set up) ? 3. Given that they are starting a new league with no cash in the bank, what benefits are there for clubs (e.g. prize money, first aid/coaching courses, grant funding for improvements)?
  3. Some of us even know where you live. [emoji23]
  4. Thanks to last night's University Challenge, I now know there was a writer called Fanny Burney.
  5. Not sure how exactly it is calculated, but it's all down to world ranking points. Higher the world ranking of the entrants = higher strength of field.
  6. He then when on to talk about some guy called Mark Wilson who won the Honda. Fkn who?
  7. Was that not the most condescending pile of shite you have ever heard from Azinger when he was basically saying all the other tours outside the PGA Tour are shite? Westwood going well too.
  8. Me too, conditions looked really tricky.
  9. Valimaki claims his first European Tour win in only his 6th start, after Stone missed the green and could onky make 5.
  10. Stone and Valimaki head back to the 18th tee for the third time after two pars each in the playoff, after both birdied it as the 72nd hole in regulation.
  11. I'm still half asleep. [emoji85] I know Chiefs have players missing due to the internationals, but they have lost a few games already that you wouldn't have seen them losing in the last few years. Did Sky not have part of the 6 nation's before ITV? Or was that only highlights? Or am I imagining it?
  12. Shinkwin having a huge meltdown certainly helped. He's cost himself thousands over the last few holes.
  13. Exeter seem to be struggling for motivation in the league without having Saracens to push them along. They lost at Northampton last night, with the Saints getting a late penalty try to put them ahead. That means Exeter have lost 4 out of 12 in the Premiership this season, compared to 5 in the whole season last year. They are still top of the table tbf.
  14. Forrest and Syme both hit 68s to lift themselves up the leaderboard. Currently tied 14th but might sneak a bit closer to the top 10 as the conditions for the later starters are getting tougher.
  15. Glad it's not just me who puts the hex on Scottish golfers when I post about them on here.
  16. Springburn Public Hall, which was listed but the council let get in such a derelict state that it had to be demolished.
  17. Had the bottom picture on the wall at one time along with "Looking South from Park Terrace" which was the cover of Deacon Blue's Raintown album. The exhibition is decent, but I didn't realise there was also an Alasdair Gray exhibition on too in one if the other rooms.
  18. The flats in Sighthill and Pinkston are now all gone, with modern low rise housing taking it's place.
  19. Tony Romo about to sign a deal with CBS worth in excess of $100m, making him the highest paid analyst in history. (And more per year than he made as a player) Meanwhile, Booger...
  20. It's not the Campsies, I would be 99.99% sure that the picture is looking towards the southwest.
  21. Spain in another player eligibility blunder. https://www.rugbypass.com/news/its-happened-again-spain-mired-in-another-ineligible-player-controversy
