  1. We are down to the bare bones and most of our missing players are midfielders. Having to play players out of position catches up with you eventually. We had won 3 in a row before yesterday but all by 1 goal and the game against Drumchapel was the only one we really played well in.
  2. So India need 152 to win tomorrow with all 10 wickets in hand.
  3. I know the ball.was turning, but to lose your last 7 wickets for 35 runs is criminal. I like Root, have said often that he has been underused at times as a bowler, but why the f**k is he opening the bowling ahead of the guy who took a 5fer in the first innings?
  4. Bob in the field next week too.
  5. He went to work for the RFU.
  6. Some Inverdale tears would have rounded off a great win.
  7. And rightly so imo, we've fucked ourselves too often by not keeping the scoreboard ticking.
  8. Wonder if/when the penny will finally drop that we aren't very good at it.
  9. 49ers sacked Steve Wilks, and have now cut the player he apparently begged them to sign in free agency last year.
  10. Thistle can certainly feel that they were done by the equaliser being chopped off, but that doesn't excuse them losing 3 poor goals. The second especially was awful, trying to play offside two yards inside your own half rarely ends well.
  11. First ever Ugandan player to make a cut on the DPWT.
  12. Salary cap has jumped around $30 million to $255.4 million, much higher than the original estimates which were in the low 240s. Will give teams a bit more leeway with free agents, although next year is the big one for the 49ers with 6 or 7 players accounting for about $150 million. Expect to see a bit of restructuring this year, but it's only really kicking the can down the road. Juaun Jennings is the only RFA, he's done more than enough to earn a deal imo.
  13. Root playing more like we know he can, and Foakes providing good support as they help England recover from 112-5. As usual some of the wickets were down to poor shots, but the ball that got Stokes virtually ran along the ground, absolutely nothing he could do.
  14. Yet again he hit the ball pretty well but didn't hole that many putts until late in the round. E.g., he drove the par 4 7th and had 5ft 5in for eagle, but missed.
  15. A few too many in the slip cordon imo.
  16. We're in a decent position but a long way from being "defo top 3". 3rd place had 56 points last year, we would need to win 5 from 7 to pass that.
