  1. Chris v anyone and he is out tbh, but I think you are right that it will be Karim, he doesn't seem to have the public support.
  2. Nothing to complain about there, he has caught the ball and is on his way back down when he clearly lifts his leg and sticks it straight out. Definite red.
  3. It's bordering on negligence by Pep that they didn't sign a centre back. In the first half none of the midfield gave the defence any protection.
  4. The bad old days of the NFC Worst.
  5. Ffs. One scrum to win it and can't get the ball in and out.
  6. Hill has just rolled in a monster birdie putt on the last to go into the joint lead, while Syme and Forrest are also in the top 10 heading into tomorrow's final round.
  7. Dismal start to the 7s season for Scotland in Dubai as they are going to end up in 14th place after losing to Kenya. They lost all 3 section games, losing heavily to Australia, going down 24-21 to the USA, then losing to Ireland by a point with the Irish scoring with the final play of the game.
  8. I managed 7, and that includes Jim Telfer. Nakawara has finally had his contract terminated by Racing 92. Would love to see him back in Glasgow, but doubt the SRU would stump up the cash. Sale were already talking about making a move for him a couple of weeks ago.
  9. You just wonder how much more she could have achieved in her playing career if she hadn't had to put up with that liver complaint, she certainly wasn't lacking in competitive spirit. An absolute tragedy, 30 is no age at all.
  10. I saw it live, and thought it looked very dodgy at the time, although the commentators brushed over it very quickly. Though not as quickly as Reed brushed his lie flat.
  11. Young Sergei had a spell at Petershill, he was plagued with injuries but he was a smashing big guy, and when he was fit he was a cracking player. I'm going for the tears and snotters double and watching Doddie Weir after this.
  12. I think he'll be coaching, but it won't be at Dallas. If Prescott wants paid he has to get the finger out and play much better in the last few games. He threw some awful passes last night.
  13. As I mentioned further up, this part of the season is a great chance to get some points in the bag early with most of the top players having a break. Grant Forrest and David Law also in for the weekend so hopefully they can all have good weekends.
  14. I've no idea what the worst record to win a division is, but the NFC East must be getting close to it this year. It could be the end of the line for Garrett in Dallas, even though they might still win the division.
  15. Atlas Park was our second ground and as you say was between Edgefauld Road and the railway line, next to the Atlas Locomotive Works. There was no connection other than the name, and we had to move from there as they expanded to build a munitions factory before WW1 broke out. In the attached pic Atlas Park is behind the fence on the left.
  16. I'm at work, only caught the last 30 seconds of the first half and the 3rd quarter so far. Can't pin all the Cowboys woes on Prescotf, but he has had some dreadful throws. They need a TD from this drive to have any chance.
  17. IIRC the tracks still ran to just about the back end of Brig O'Lea into the early 1980s. I'm sure the trains used to run up there to switch tracks for the return trip to Glasgow. I'll get my anorak.
  18. Latest report is that it was a sailor who shot 2 civilian staff before killing himself.
  19. Just finished watching Resurfacing. I was amazed at the level of access the film makers were given, especially as Andy has always kept his children out of the public eye. Lesser men would have chucked it long ago, or gone for the metal hip and just thought they would take it easy from then on. Andy was on the One Show last week and admitted that this was a very different documentary from the original intention. Filming was only supposed to be for a few months to film his recovery and return after the first hip op, but that didn't go at all to plan. He said if they had known what was going to happen months down the line then he almost certainly wouldn't have let them film it.
  20. Genuinely saddened by that. My first memory of watching cricket is the 81 Headingley Ashes test, and as brilliant as Botham and Dilley's stand was, it would have counted for nothing without Willis steaming in and skittling the Aussies out. I was just watching him and Botham reminiscing about it on Sky last week. Sky have a lot of cheerleaders on their sports coverage at times, but Bob played his role of being the complete opposite brilliantly. He got some stick from the players at times, but a lot of his criticism about England in red ball cricket has been bang on the money.
