  1. They were very impressive against the Texans last time out, Jackson heading for 3000 yards passing and 1000 yards rushing if he keeps going at the current rate. I'm nightshift too so hoping to catch a good chunk of it.
  2. There is a thread running in the Infowire forum regarding the closest grounds. https://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.php?/topic/260877-Closest-Grounds
  3. An investigation is under way after reports that Archer was racially abused during the final day's play.
  4. Tailored to your browsing history. Ooft. [emoji33]
  5. I wasn't confident given that we have struggled on offense the last few weeks, and the Packers were well rested coming off their bye week. Think everyone got a huge lift from Kittle returning, and Rodgers never got a minutes peace all night. It's a tough finishing run for the 49ers now. At the Ravens. At the Saints. Vs the Falcons. Vs the Rams. At the Seahawks. The 2 home games should be wins, but that's 3 road trips to teams who have an 80% or better record at the moment.
  6. Just caught up with the bite size highlights and the verdict on Sky, some of the shots that got players out were awful. Or no shot at all in Buttler's case.
  7. Wish I had stayed up now.
  8. It definitely smacks of England having no confidence that they could score enough to go in front, so have started the day with the sole aim of batting time. Root had looked untroubled up til then.
  9. Tannehill throws a 63 yard completion to AJ Brown to make it 35-3.
  10. First wicket goes, Root guiding a short ball from de Grandhomme straight to gully. 69/4.
  11. Henry scores 2 TDs for the Titans in the space of about 10 seconds of game time. Ran one in from 73 yards, then the Titans forced a fumble on the kick off return and he ran the next play for another one. 28-3 Titans.
  12. Can England last the day? Can they even last until lunch?
  13. I was raging when the 49ers let him go tbh, even more so with some of the dross we have suffered since.
  14. The players have got to turn up tbf.
  15. Can't remember when it changed, but I'm fairly sure it's a recent thing that the Rookie that finishes highest on the rankings wins the award. It used to be decided by a panel, and they probably would have given wins higher marks than consistency.
  16. At the start of the Ashes he reached 96mph a couple of times, the one that rattled Steve Smith on the head was close to 93 mph, but his speed in this test (and the last couple of Ashes tests) has been consistently around 88 mph. Still quick, but definitely not as threatening as he was at the start of the summer.
  17. I really can't get what they are doing with Archer. They wanted him in the setup because he had the X factor they were missing, a 95mph bowler. During the Ashes his speed dropped off notably compared to the world cup, and that has continued here. If he is bowling at 87/88 mph then he is not really any different from what they already had available, and certainly can't swing it like Broad, Anderson and even Curran/Woakes, although nobody can get it to move in these conditions anyway, so the extra pace could be the thing that makes the difference.
  18. Superb by Bob, that should see him creep up another few places on the OWGR. Hopefully next year he can fit some more rest periods into his schedule, he has played 32 events this year which is pretty hectic compared to some of the other guys. Being in the WGC events will make a huge difference for him with the bigger prizes and ranking points on offer.
  19. NZ finally declared on 615-9 with Watling scoring 205. All England can do now is bat out a draw.
  20. I posted the stat about Todd's recent form last night, here's where he was not that long ago.
  21. As much as some of England's decision making is baffling, I can't really understand the Kiwis approach either. England did bowl well this morning, but I thought NZ would have tried to up the run rate a bit.
