  1. @GlasgowWarriors: LATEST: English commentary will now be available on BBC ALBA as a red button option & @BBCTwo Scotland will screen games for the first time
  2. Can't help but think that the whole saga of the complaint against Anderson has galvanised England, while at the same time India seem to have fallen apart since then. Abysmal batting from some of them in this test.
  3. The pitch needs relaid after the surface that was put down for the games is cleared away. Passed during the week and the new pitch was lying in the car park, shipped in from Holland AFAIK.
  4. Tsonga serving for the match at 5-4 up in the 3rd set. Murray had broke first but then lost 3 games in a row to go 5-3 down.
  5. As always at Old Trafford, the weather could be key.Chucked it down today and the forecast for tomorrow looks fine but more rain for Sunday and Monday. England building a decent lead before the heavens opened, a bit of a wobble when they lost 3 wickets fairly quickly but Root and Butler have played well together, 85 of a lead for England.
  6. Hadn't seen this thread until tonight, the missus thought I was having a seizure I was laughing so hard. The one in particular that got me doubled up was the 7ft T-Rex with the silver disco pants.
  7. England now have a big enough lead that it would be a world record if India were somehow to win. Surely they have to declare at tea?
  8. http://www.independent.ie/sport/other-sports/cycling/paul-kimmage-suffering-for-our-art-on-rocky-road-to-paris-and-back-30461965.html Rough Rider premieres on RTE tonight, hopefully on in the UK soon.
  9. Should be a sprinters day today, fancy Kristoff for another win. Sagan has the green jersey in the bag, has anyone ever won it before without winning a stage?
  10. Walsh has always said that his initial reason for his suspicion of Armstrong was the speed of his first prologue win in 99, which was faster than the previous year and miles better than anything Armstrong had ever done pre cancer. Although the times like today's climb proves nothing in isolation I get the feeling that some of the cynics think the race is cleaner than it was before. I've watched more this year than in recent times and I've seen more riders looking absolutely blown out than I have for a long time. Hopefully things are heading in the right direction.I'm hoping Kimmage's Rough Rider film gets picked up by one of the UK channels, it's on RTE in the next few months. Heard Wiggins getting interviewed by Jill Douglas on the way in to work earlier, looks like both his Team Sky and road racing days could be over. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/commonwealth-games/28476411
  11. I didn't actually think it was unbelievable watching it live. Nieve had made a last desperate bid to win a stage for Tean Sky and was absolutely gone by the time Nibali went past him, Nieve ended up 5.25 down 20 odd places back.
  12. @DavidWalshST: This year's dominant teams in TdF run by Alexandre Vinokourov and Bjarne Riis, yet little talk of doping. #extraordinary
  13. Nibali wins his 4th stage and now leads by 7.10 from Pinot, with Peraud 3rd at 7.23 and Valverde 4th at 7.25. Still a lot up for grabs in the time trial on Saturday.
  14. Nibali has blown the field apart on the last climb, Valverde could be losing his podium spot as he has fallen way behind the others.
  15. The TMS podcast is worth a listen, "more brains in a pork pie" says Sir Geoff.
  16. When Andy Flower left he said "things will get worse before they get better." Certainly being proved right so far!
  17. Yep, it was a sore one, Bauer was still bawling his eyes out about 20 minutes after the stage had finished. Sport can be cruel sometimes.
  18. Be lucky to last until lunch tomorrow.
  19. Who with? Skybet had India 10/11 and England even money before the English innings started.
  20. Only once in history have a team scored 319 or more to win at Lords. Going to be an exciting day and a half.
  21. The way India are scoring here they might have to declare at some point if they want to try and win the game. Lead over 300 already.
  22. India lead by 243 at lunch with 3 wickets in hand, an exciting finish in prospect. England's achilles heel this year has been their inability to finish off the opposition's tail, so they will be hoping they can pik up these last 3 wickets relatively cheaply and quickly.
  23. England 319 all out, lead by 26. Ballance's and Plunkett scored half the runs between them.
  24. 3 monster climbs today and another mountain top finish, fully expect Nibali to extend his lead even further today.
