  1. " A generation of playing victim has got them far. In my work a couple have been known to sing their rebel shite until we shut them up and ask them who won at the boyne. But even still these cretins carry their cretin values with them as they climb the social ladder." Superb.
  2. That bit about Gogy the Google mascot or something being completely Fake News was a bit of a lol.
  3. Is he forgetting that Theresa May's our PM? Y'know the one who had to be taken to court to ensure Brexit would be discussed in parliament?
  4. Think the UK's racism goes a bit beyond Brexit tbh.
  5. He's getting a hard time because it's patently nonsense that any academic institution that isn't run by a clown collective will prevent you from doing work that creates a political agenda. I'm studying the issues and ideologies of modern Scotland. I'm doing an essay on England blackmailing Scotland into a union and a presentation on the ideology of unionism which, as a loud Scottish nationalist, will be highly critical. The lecturers know this and they don't care.
  6. A lot of weird shit goes on there tbf. Definitely the more interesting of the books.
  7. "Creates a political agenda" [emoji28]
  8. That's the same reductive argument used against Leninists and Stalinists lol. Not that I think either of you are exactly correct here but still.
  9. Charting the US intervention from 2003 does a major disservice to the brutal economic sanctions imposed on the country from the early 90s. It's also worth remembering that parts of Iraq have fallen under the sway of Islamic State and had astronomical murder levels a decade ago where even US troops wouldn't leave the Green Zone for fear of being killed. Saddam's Iraq was shite for millions and post-war Iraq has remained incredibly shite for millions.
  10. All the commentariat nerds are going to love that.
  11. Hope that by the time of the next election we'll have the entirety of The Office script being used to belittle the Tories. The little slugs.
  12. Awful speech and an awful conference from a party who look dead in the water. Praying that Theresa May ousts Boris, precipitates a challenge for the leadership and launches another election which sinks them from power.
  13. While both are undeniably responsible for a lot of the destabilisation in the world you would be hard-pressed to make the case that they are on the same level as the United States. While the Russians and the Saudis are largely limited in scope to specific regions the US have influence across the entire globe stretching from their own backgarden in Latin America to the Pacific, the Middle East and Africa largely without significant opposition.
  14. Bray Wyatt cutting a vaguely interesting promo? No chance. Can't wait for him to lose with little effort again at TLC.
  15. Jmo launching a crusade on the intolerant left moments after saying everyone was acting offended by the (TORY) foreign sec cracking jokes about the widespread devastation partially caused by Britain in Libya. [emoji23]
  16. Culturalist narratives are just old fashioned racism hidden behind some creative language.
  17. I hate to be this snobbish but honestly the minter of a guy handed all the privileges of being born straight, white and male who ends up working as a delivery driver holding those views on racial superiority.
  18. The history of Spain is one of Castilian subjugation and domination of the other areas of Spain. I don't think you can make that argument about Italy.
  19. I would be surprised and disappointed if the focus is another referendum date. I imagine she'll focus on policy to rejuvenate the voters that didn't turn out in June.
  20. The families are more than likely going to face serious harassment from the nutcases that insist on every one of these events being a false flag event. Utterly horrible.
  21. The guy was white so Alex Jones et al will be arguing this line.
  22. Ironically I imagine Murphy would've been much more comfortable differentiating Scottish Labour from the UK party if he was heading them up right now under Corbyn's leadership.
  23. Not surprising from the EU though. I'd have far more sympathy with dismantling the EU if the cause wasn't led by reactionary ethnonationalists.
