  1. 2 wins against the bottom 2 this season is absolutely dreadful. Every team can point to games that cost them over a season but those feel worse than most. Really doesn't feel like we've only lost 1 in the last 11.
  2. Think I'd rather just start games with 10 men rather than see Darren Brownlie play for us again.
  3. County doing their best to prove one part of this post wrong today.
  4. Back on the bench but at least he didn't get the team together for a huddle at 2-0 down like Zinchenko. Small mercies.
  5. I suspect this will be the case and Norway will have held back tickets in hope of a reciprocal agreement but the SFA have already sold out the game at Hampden (or the SFA version of sold out where tickets will become available nearer the time but they've sold out the sections next to the away end already). Pish for those who just miss out on Norway away tickets or now buy these tickets but then don't get the points for it.
  6. Buying Norway tickets was painless for a change, all done in 2mins. No extra charge for delivery so guessing it'll be pick up over there or e-tickets.
  7. It'll be difficult for someone who is completely brand new to the SSC but anyone who is renewing had the opportunity to get to 5 of the last 10 away games without any points, Ireland dropped down to 12 and Armenia to 9 so the opportunity was there to build up points. Just been an unfortunate group in terms of away ties this time round unless Spain give us a decent allocation whenever they finally announce the venue. Nations League Group A next year in theory should give us the chance of some decent allocations to build up points since a fair number will be against bigger nations with bigger stadia.
  8. Points table updated today, looks like possibly 18 or 19 points to guarantee a ticket for Norway. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scotland/supporters-tickets/scotland-supporters-club-membership/ssc-loyalty-points/
  9. The capacity of Hampden in the bid document is higher at 52,032 than the SFA state Hampden's capacity is (51,866) and I'm not sure if they've even updated that since they took a few rows of seats away in the North Stand to accommodate the new wheelchair viewing platforms. Might suggest there is some sort of redevelopment involved.
  10. Our options were fairly limited for this one as you're playing either the odd team out from the other UEFA groups of 5 or a team from another continent (but South American teams are already playing each other with dates tbc so that rules them out). The European teams were Germany - Meant to be playing in either USA or Mexico Estonia - Already playing Thailand Bulgaria - Meant to be playing Albania but not confirmed yet Albania - As above North Macedonia - Free Armenia - Free France - Free The rugby world cup is on in France at the time so playing in Spain would make sense. I hadn't booked flights back for after the Spain game since it was rumoured to be there.
  11. Your experience of Thistle's ticketing system is very different from mine. It definitely doesn't just work for a number of people I've spoken to about it and I've given up asking the club to fix my account as they are meant to be switching to a new system in the summer.
  12. Opportunity for someone to get 5mins from the bench if we are holding on in Oslo.
  13. Glorious sunshine, bank holiday and a 7.45pm kick off could see the drunkest home support in quite some time.
  14. There's others such as @Ad Lib who are far more knowledgable about it than me but from my limited understanding the plans that were rejected were before Low and Weir were involved. It was former chairman David Beattie, Billy Allan and others who were directors in the club who bought the main stand and south end from the club which cleared the club's debt and they formed a company called Propco where they owned part and the club owned part so any profits would be split when the flats were built. They never were, the south end has sat empty since they bulldozed the terracing before any plans were approved so now it looks shite and then Weir bought back the land as part of the deal to buy the club before he died. ETA the wee shite stand was to be built on the current south end if I remember correctly. Was essentially going to be a few rows that stretched along in front of whatever building was put up there.
  15. Planning permission to build there was refused years ago, don't think there's been any new plans since.
  16. Need updated 4, 6, 8 and 10 game form tables and how they relate to Dundee and Queen's Park's remaining fixtures after tonight's result IMO.
  17. Brian Graham on a podcast revealed they actually do video analysis on the opposition now in training which we didn't do under McCall. Remarkably this was an interview where he was trying to claim not much had changed since Doolan came in other than injuries had cleared up a bit.
  18. Went to tick off Cove since I missed the last one and on that showing I'm glad I did as they don't look like they'll be at this level for much longer. Be interesting to see how McMillan-Muirhead-Brownlie-Holt get on as a back 4 if Hodson's injury has him out any length of time. If it wasn't for the fact it leaves us no defensive cover whatsoever I prefer it to any combination which includes Holt.
  19. Looking forward to it. Skipping June's mortgage payment to afford a round.
  20. A real pity party from them on the Open Goal FC youtube channel posted just there. "This wasn't a vanity project we took paycuts to do this" "The league and other clubs wouldn't accommodate enough Friday night games for us to get bigger crowds" Seems to be everyone else's fault they failed miserably. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lL-A8jiuE6k
  21. Boxed version is only on sale to SSC members tomorrow now and if any are left after that they'll go on general sale from noon on Monday going by the SSC email that went out this morning. £119 for the boxed shirt on its own, £150 for one of the 873 special editions with a commemorative coin and miniature whisky before the 15% discount code.
  22. Searching Skottland on twitter and clicking translate on Norwegian tweets about us has been fairly entertaining. Like P&B after a couple of games of the last qualifying campaign with a mixture of them being absolutely fucked now or beating us home and away no bother.
  23. A stadium owned by a subsidiary of the Welsh Rugby Union that the football team have played in once in since 2011 isn't really a combined national stadium anymore is it? There must be better examples than that.
  24. English born goalkeepers are like buses. The Sun reporting Clarke is keeping an eye on Jason Steele who has been Brighton's number 1 for the past month or so. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/10431272/scotland-steve-clarke-brighton-goalkeeper-jason-steele/
