  1. Anyone that had interviews for construction industry jobs from 2008-2011 is bound to have had some form of bad interview experience. Around 2010 I had a couple of interviews set up by a recruitment agency. One was in London for a job building airport runways in the Caribbean and Central America. I had managed to get freelance work in Cumbria at the time but took the day off and travelled down to London at considerable expense (circa £400 in lost wages and travel costs). The interview went well (I thought), the guy was impressed by my experience and we'd actually worked with mutual colleagues, some of whom were references. Never heard from them again! Second interview was a couple of month later up in Edinburgh. I was still working in Cumbria so I also had to incur a days lost wage and travel costs to attend. The two guys just took it in turns belittling everything on my CV. Even denigrating me for being out of work for 4 months at the start of the economic crash......."there was no reason for anyone to be out of work. It was an opportunity".......my reply of " if nobody is spending any money, who am I supposed to design and/or build things for?" was ignored. It was just one big power trip for those two utter c***s.
  2. Sounds like a cry for help, mate. Her only intimate contact with her husband is via DM on Pie & Bovril......
  3. Wasn't he sailing close to the wind with his exchanges with Supras.....be specific.....and all that tedium?
  4. It seems to be the way the forum has been going the last couple of years.

  6. ^^^absolutely shitting it type post.....
  7. Don't believe everything you read in the Western media.
  8. That sounds good, depending upon who the commentator is of course. Back to the days of Coleman or Moore.
  9. Yes, in that I don't get equating victim blaming to situational risk awareness. They're very different things that seem to be thrown in together when discussing rape cases. Hence my "not mutually exclusive" comment.
  10. Who did this? I certainly never. I was pointing out the difference between victim blaming and situational risk awareness, as in crime prevention by looking at previous incidents. Unfortunately, in some previous cases the victims actions may have put them in harms way. Does this excuse the perpetrator? Of course not, but in order to learn from it, it tends to be discussed. It's the same with accident inquiries.
  11. First of all, I said I didn't agree with @Enigma take on @Dele posting personal things about his life on P&B. I've done the very same myself. Secondly, where did I say "a woman wearing a short skirt is asking to be raped"? I didn't, and I certainly wouldn't say that, extreme case as it is. However, pointing out that getting parallegically drunk, losing your friends and passing out in the street is likely to increase the likelihood of something bad happening to you shouldn't be confused with victim blaming. Victim blaming and assessing situational risks aren't the same thing. Hence why I said they weren't mutually exclusive. There was an advert campaign in the UK recommending this to women about 10 years ago. In a perfect utopia nobody would bring harm to anyone but that's not the World we live in. Even more so for women sadly.
  12. By the same token, in what way is @Honest_Man#1 scenario example the same as the one @Enigma commented on? Like I said, victim blame and putting yourself in harms way aren't mutually exclusive.
  13. Not that I agree with @Enigma in this instance, but I've never really got the "victim blaming" argument. For example, taking out the highly emotive subject of rape, say you were to knowingly wander around a rough part of a City late at night and end up getting mugged and/or beaten up. Are the perpetrators c***s or any less guilty? Of course not. Are you responsible for putting yourself in harms way? Probably to an extent. They're not necessarily mutually exclusive.
  14. Inflatable girlfriends don't count, mate.....
  15. Cheers mate. Re: my house : You'll need to speak to my wife, she'll inherit it........
  16. Cheers mate. Yeh, it's difficult but it gets easier and it's definitely worth following in the long run.
  17. We all have different battles, mate. I'm advised to avoid fatty or deep fried foods as I have no gall bladder (it holds bile in reserve to aid your stomach with digestion). I'd say digestive process is fairly settled but will never be normal again. I have to regulate my diet otherwise it kicks back on me. Ask them for dietary advice. Even the healthiest foods can be difficult to digest.
  18. You're a man in your 40s that's a massive Star Wars fan. You're a fucking VL alright!
  19. I take them after having my gall bladder removed along with half my pancreas and about quarter of my stomach. They do help the digestive process. Do you chew your food thoroughly? I consciously try to these days. Also, have the given you a list of foods that are easier to digest to incorporate into your diet?
  20. Sorry to hear this mate. Do you take pro biotics and/or digestive enzymes?
