  1. Watching Footy Adventures video of the game and the ref looked utterly pissed when he seen their right back jump straight back to his feet as soon as Easton had been booked.
  2. Last season when we seemed to have non stop injuries I did wonder if it was a case of us doing things very wrong, but I think it can just be bad luck. As in you get a bit of bad luck early on and get a few more injuries that expected, but because of the those injuries other players in the team either play through knocks that they normally wouldn't to try and help the team or players try and come back from injuries too quick to help the team. The end result being those players who were trying to help out end up injured themselves and then the whole thing just repeats as other players then try to play through injuries to help out. Then you just end up with your team seemingly getting non-stop injuries till you get to the end of the season and everybody can take time to actually get over their injuries. I haven't paid too much attention to all your injuries but I'm sure heard a few of my Pars supporting mates mention players who were playing through knocks that are now out injured.
  3. So the story of the derby games this season is we can just give the Pars as much of the ball as they want as they do absolutely f**k all with it.
  4. Pars have had a lot of the ball but not done anything with it. We’ve not done much but taken our chance when it came.
  5. We’re warming up with a back 4. Mind you we’ve done that before then started the game with a back 3.
  6. But when Watson was out injured wasn’t Corr also injured? Which meant we went with Brown at CB and he done ok in the role. If Corr hadn’t picked up his injury at the start of the season he probably would have got a run I’d imagine.
  7. I wouldn't say that, it's like with any younger player you decide to go with, they're more liable to make mistakes and you need to accept that comes with it. Obviously being a keeper if Kev makes a mistake it's more than likely going to result in a goal and he's got some big weak points like his kicking and his habit of wanting to punch rather than catch crosses, which wouldn't be a big issue except that he's not really all that good at the punching part of it. But his weak points can be improved upon, what's really not helping him is our so called defence in front of him. A solid defence in front of him and while he'd still make the odd mistake that would cost a goal, it wouldn't be a huge issue. But at the moment we've got a young keeper who'll make the odd mistake plus a defence that seems to spend at least 20 minutes in every single game completely forgetting how to defend and just shipping goals. It's not a great combination. I don't think changing keepers is going to make much difference, McNeil is also young so is just as liable to make mistakes which would cost us a goal and neither McNeil or Robbie going to be able to suddenly turn our defence into a solid unit, which is the biggest issue.
  8. Hardly. We've completely shat the bed tonight but saying that's it done is bizarre.
  9. How can we both win all our games when we play each other. If we win all our games, we are champs.
  10. Tenner deal is a great idea. I never buy my season ticket expecting to make every game anyway so not fussed about them reducing prices for games to get bigger crowds in. I’m not going to make this one as I’m out in Egypt on holiday. Maybe I should invoke my Season Ticket overprivilege and ask them to move the game back a week so I can make it.
  11. Going to be out of the country for this one. I'm assuming if I want to watch the Ayr stream I'd have to buy a monthly pass, anybody any idea how much it is? Had a look on the Ayr site but it just says subscriptions open on the day of the match.
  12. For somebody who doesn't care about us, you seem to spend a lot of your time following our social media and posting about us. It has been mighty amusing this season hearing Pars fans tell us how they don't care about us....repeatedly, while doing nothing but moaning about our social media, the money we're spending, blah, blah, blah.
  13. There's quite a few posters who only seem to appear when things are going badly but then disappear as soon as things are going well. Seems a bit weird to me but I guess it's more cathartic to have a rant about stuff when it's going badly than just posting about how much you love what's going on at the club when things are going well.
  14. A loss last night wouldn't just meant the title was done, it could have resulted in a car crash end to the season. We'd have lost six on the trot, confidence would be rock bottom, especially if we'd lost after going ahead again. We'd had been left looking over our shoulders at teams who are hitting form and it could have turned into a complete disaster. Whereas getting the win, and getting it with a late winner will hopefully spark the belief back into the players. The great run we were on the first half of the season, you could see the players fully believed and expected we would score late on when needed. Even when the opposition scored, you could almost see the players just like "Fine, we'll just go score again then". That had completely vanished during this bad run. Even last night, moreso after United scored, you could see we were a team low on confidence. Other things though; Watching Vaughan celebrate Broonys goal on the highlights is immense. James Brown really struggled early on, barely seemed to touch the ball and every time they went down his side he never once managed to block a cross. But he came into the game as it went on. I don't know how he's not utterly exhausted though, watching him the first half and he was constantly bouncing on his feet. Also loving that on the touchline camera of Broonys goal when he's chested it and it's starting to drop you can literally hear the whole South Stand yelling "SHOOT", and he duly obliged.
  15. There were two tits near me who weren't sat there first half, but appeared second half sitting in two spare seats as there were a couple of season ticket holders couldn't make it. Then when it was all kicking off with Hamilton and their keeper one of them tried to chuck what looked like a lighter at the Utd keeper.
  16. I’m pretty sure if it is true that it wasn’t a management choice to let players discover it rather than being told. It’s not like somebody went out of their way to leave something out so players can find out who is and isn’t in the clubs plans for next season. What a way to shoot ourselves in the foot if it is true though.
  17. No, we need complete overreaction, it's the only way. It's either we're incredible, Byrne is a gem of a player, we're going to win the league and Murray should be knighted. or We're utter garbage, Byrne is too slow, we're never going to win again and Murray should be sacked. There is no in-between, in-between is boring. Realistically, the only way Murray would be under pressure would be if we somehow failed to make the play-offs, as I'd imagine the target set at the start of the season was to get into the play-offs. Even then I don't think he'd been sacked, but he'd be under a lot of pressure to get off to a great start next season.
  18. Obviously Utd might come back. But at the moment it's very considerate of Utd that despite our recent horrendous form they haven't bothered to take advantage of it. Kinda mental that despite losing 3 league games in a row and 5 games in total, we could still be going into the the game a week on Friday knowing a win puts us back clear at the top.
  19. While it won't help with this season I'm quite hopeful that they already have a few plans in the works for defenders for next season. Given that Potter has made comments about how they plan ahead, not just for the current or next transfer window but beyond, combined with all of our defenders outwith Murray and Hannah being out of contract at the end of this season, then add on the fact we only offered O'Reilly a six month deal. All that makes me think (hope) that they have already have a few things in place for next season. If they announced that Millen, Dick and Watson weren't going to be offered new contracts, would anybody be all that bothered? Heck, at this point if they announced Murray was going to be allowed to leave I wouldn't be that bothered about that either. We've done a lot of good work on the midfield and forwards the season, a fair chunk of whom are signed beyond this season. For next season we really need to rip that entire defence up and start again.
  20. It wasn’t even like Airdrie caught us with a quick counter where you could maybe give a bit of leeway for the defence being all over the place. As Airdrie come forward Dick is in the middle of our box, as the Airdrie boy realises he can just run to the byline as he’s up against Murray who has zero pace. Then Dick follows the Airdrie boy who was unmarked which is fair enough. But then he just paid no attention to what was going on around him. Easton sprints back but is so concentrated on the ball I don’t even think he notices Todorov run past him. The pic below, that’s our left back and right back standing next to each other without a care in the world as Todorov is just chilling completely unmarked. To have four experienced defenders playing and f**k up like that is crazy.
  21. Yeah, had it in my mind that finished 0-0. Clearly that game made some impression on me.
  22. Haven't even scored against you. We've scored in every single game we've played this season, except when we've played Airdrie. And really, other than the first game where Stanton hit the post we haven't ever looked like scoring against them. Scrap that, totally thought the draw at Stark's was 0-0
  23. When I got to the ground and seen the lineup I actually thought we were going to be going for a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1. Then we kicked off and we were playing whatever the hell that was. Turner didn't seem to have a clue what he was meant to be doing or where he was meant to be, sometimes he was out wide right, then he was in the centre, but regardless whenever he did get the ball he just seemed to waste it. Easton was off doing his own thing and I'm really struggling to see why Murray keeps playing Easton and Smith against Airdrie, the Airdrie players quite clearly know the two of them inside out so you're going into the game with hand tied behind your back already. The whole team looks to have lost confidence and any belief they can turn things around when we concede (which is often now). Easton's confidence is completely and utterly shot, you always see him at the start of a game or after coming on as a sub, the first thing he tries to do is go at his defender. If he skips past them then that's usually him with his confidence up and good for the rest of the game, if he fails though then that seems to be him done. Stanton coming back is big, but it's not going to turn it around with how low the confidence is now. Really need something like a fluke last minute winner or something to help get the confidence back, not likely to happen given we play Utd next. I genuinely think if Gullan's free kick against Queen's Park had went in off the bar that would got the confidence and belief going again and we'd be a much better position. Instead it bounced out off the bar and we've went on to lose the next three games and now look a complete shell of the team from earlier in the season.
