  1. Scorer of good goals rather than a good goalscorer. Lots of fans would be sorry to see him leave and believe he should be getting more of a chance, but the reality is he's decent at Champ level, not so much at Prem. He's a niggly, hard-working player who will chase every ball. He should perhaps learn to be a bit more lazy/selfish. Also excellent at, euphemistically speaking, 'winning free kicks'.
  2. They also never paid up the full compensation when they poached Jack Ross that time.
  3. The surprising thing there is that we've knocked you back.
  4. That's mad. Would be a good move for him, can't see what's stopping him from going. Surely we're not...
  5. There might not be much point posting every St Mirren move today separately... but Ethan Erhahon has gone to Championship strugglers Barnsley on loan in one of the weirder transfers of the window so far.
  6. That's the issue for me. I actually can't see him playing much more for us this season, but I feel it's very important not to help stabilise Killie at this moment in time.
  7. Reputable Saints folk on Twitter saying he's asked to go after speaking to Killie. All very bizarre.
  8. It's bonkers. Surely we won't let him go to a rival at this stage in the window. He's only just on the cusp of coming back from injury, too. That said, I'm not sure he's first choice any more...
  9. Record reporting that Killie want Kirk back. He's on an 18 month deal, and they're relegation rivals. Hope they've got plenty cash. Sorry, didn't see your post @RandomGuy.
  10. It's win-win for us, if he makes a good show of himself. We either get a proper player back, or he catches the eye at a very good level and we can ask silly money for him. Just hope they give him the chance that we haven't.
  11. I'm convinced we've got the better end of this: a fee for McGinn, and Hodson to replace.
  12. Seems proportionate. No need for anything harsher. Hope the guy gets help.
  13. An upgrade to the extent that I was slightly concerned Hibs would go for Hodson instead.
  14. Actually, I had been toying with the idea of stopping my payments, mainly because money is bloody tight at the moment. If Kibble gets voted through I'll continue.
  15. Yeah, same here. I've been chipping in for the takeover since day one and I think the fan ownership is a great idea... until I spend any length of time on BAWA.com. Achieving fan ownership alongside, and with the support of, a long-standing Paisley community organisation seems like a no-brainer to me, too. On the field, we will always average somewhere between 8th in Scotland in a good year, and 16th in a bad year. That's our natural position, given club size and history. You live in the hope that some years might be better than 8th, and pray that we'll never drop too far below 16th, but all things being equal, that's where we sit. Off the field, you just hope that we can achieve the above whilst also being well run, family-friendly, solvent, involved in the community, doing stuff that encourages future St Mirren fans to follow the team and, most importantly of all, ensuring there is still a St Mirren so that I can brainwash my grandchildren like my Grampa brainwashed me. I think the Kibble involvement will help us to do that.
