  1. I think it's pretty clear what's gone on here: we were triple fucked and haemorrhaging staff. Gilmour came on board and has steadied the ship.
  2. See we're appointing a head of academy to report into McManus. That is a bold move for a club that's going bust next week.
  3. Nowhere near as bad as that time Jim Goodwin went to Celtic Park in his Celtic hat, scarf and underwear.
  4. Fair, but I don't think that makes me incorrect here. The Prem team will win the playoff comfortably, IMO.
  5. Tbf the quality in and around the Championship top four is just getting worse and worse. While we were all braced to sit back and piss ourselves if you went down last year, let's face it, it wasn't even close in the end. Nobody in the Championship is laying a glove on any top flight team over two legs. Even Morton's annual failure to make the top four isn't predicted to be confirmed until late March this year. That's how shit they all are.
  6. I'm really struggling to keep up with these handball rules now. The direction of travel of the ball being a factor is a new one on me.
  7. Somewhat makeshift, as expected. Flynn at RB and relatively untested Taylor at LCB. Midfield is solid though. Gogic will get booked.
  8. Even if there's limited chance of specific aggro, it just makes sense from a policing point of view. Not optimistic tonight. Feel we've lost our way in the final third. We've got to be very ruthless, playing the way we do, but our strikers aren't taking what's coming to them.
  9. Fan of club with fairly lengthy set of woes rushes into other team's thread to tell someone else not to rush into other teams' threads because their club has some woes. Am I in the right ballpark?
  10. I saw we are recruiting for an accountant. Wonder if a staff change/turnover has contributed to the delay in some small way.
  11. We need to get her and David Goodwillie together. Or, for her safety, perhaps not.
  12. Which conveniently overlooks the fact that the reasons they give for not clapping are straight from the OF victim playbook.
  13. Absolutely a red card. Our squad depth getting tested this season. Is there still a thing whereby a club can get cited for poor discipline? I can't remember ever receiving so many reds. We seem to be coping, by and large, but you have to feel it's going to take its toll eventually.
  14. Still grinds my gears that goal wasn't given to Clark. Regardless of who actually touched it last.
  15. S'fine. In the past decade we've had Tommy Craig, Alex Rae, Ian Murray and Alan Stubbs in charge, so bang average isn't the diss you think it is.
  16. Have to say Robbie Neilson has exceeded my expectations at Hearts. When he dropped down again after labouring somewhat to get United promoted, I wondered if he was doubting his own top flight creds. But you have to say he's clearly made the right long-term decision there. While you could argue that 3rd/4th place absolutely has to be par for Hearts, we know Scottish football doesn't always work like that. I still resent him for turning us down and us ending up with Stubbs in charge in 2018, but you can't deny he's doing a good job now. I don't think we'll lose the home game. Head says 1-1. Hoping we can avoid defeat at Tynecastle. Heart says 1-1.
  17. It's a bit like that old joke: how do you turn a four-page thread into a 14-pager? Brush a Killie player gently in the face.
