  1. Ironically it’s calm, dry and mild in Kirkcaldy. [emoji849]
  2. What did Hank day about dribbling mentalists? If we fail to go up it will be a failure. But we failed last year and we’re in much better shape as a football club from top to bottom this year, and the majority of that is down to McGlynn. The board deserve credit too for giving the manager the resources to do the job he has done. The Bowie deal is a good one bit doesn’t really come into it for me- the Coulson lad signing and Tait extending his contract is far more indicative of the feel-good factor the manager has slowly brought back. Yes, the most important thing is promotion but with the way this club is being run currently we will achieve that sooner rather than later.
  3. There can’t be anyone who still has doubts about whether McGlynn was the right man for the job can there? The difference in professionalism and attitude about the club this term is night and day. Even if we don’t go up this year I’m delighted with how we’ve improved. I’m actually proud to follow this little club again and it’s down to super John McGlynn.
  4. Pretty sure you can only play for two clubs in a season. He came on as a sub for Hibs the other week did he not? If so, the only club he could go to would be us.
  5. I fear you guys are correct. Doesn’t mean I think it’s right though. We’re looking for a development fee for his time with us. You can’t tell me that he came to us as a reserve striker, then scored 30 odd goals in his first season with us, but the development to turn him into a £500k player was done by Dunfermline in the 6months after that? Common sense would tell you his time with us was the major factor in turning him from a nobody into an exciting prospect. I’m well aware these things don’t usually work on common sense though [emoji849] And for the record, there’s a bad taste in the mouth regarding Dunfermline and how they dealt with their debts in the past but regarding Nisbet I don’t think that they’ve done anything I wouldn’t want Rovers to do in the same situation.
  6. Dunfermline rejected a bid of between £350k and £400k if this is to be believed. You’d have thought that even an offer like that being made 6months after he left us would strengthen our case for compensation through the tribunal.
  7. Very true. And it wouldn’t be an issue if we weren’t unlucky and had away games instead of home games against well-supported teams.
  8. McGlynn in his pre-match interview says he has a loan deal lined up (Gullan?) and that something else came out of left-field today (Miller?) but that nothing is imminent yet and that his head is in a spin trying to work out the best way to go.
  9. I was wondering this too. I’d be very surprised if we get a bid for him in this window. His form in the last month or two has dipped a bit and although he’s still a tremendous prospect for us, I can’t see anyone being willing to part with a fee big enough to release him from his contract at this moment in time.
  10. This is the worst kind of banter. f**k off with this shit.
  11. You've been away from Fife for too long.
  12. Am I being wooshed here? You know we're 1-0 up right?
  13. East Fife equalise against Airdrie. That's good for us.
  14. He’s saying you’re a cheeky fucker for not obeying the segregation rules.
  15. I think that team would be too strong for East Fife, but that’s mostly because there are 11 outfield players.....
  16. So doing your ACL isn’t a career threatening injury? [emoji849]
  17. And as for Hendrys reaction- you’ve got to take it in context. The boy is 13minutes into his return from a potentially career ending injury and he gets taken out with a cynical foul with no intention to play the ball in an area of the park where he’s causing no danger. Every right to be angry I’d say.
  18. Might be a biggish crowd so a shlight delay until shree minutes past shree.
  19. But if Raith, or Dundee or Clyde or whoever hadn't spent money on their stadia and instead had spent a fraction of that cost on players (like Falkirk did) they'd have been challenging and maybe beating Falkirk and not going bankrupt. You're right, it's been done to death and Falkirk were probably sensible to do what they did but the "we're hard done by cos we were denied promotion" thing which still gets trotted out is pish.
  20. Funny that the ref got berated yesterday but with the benefit of video replays everybody agrees that he got all the major flashpoints correct, or at least didn’t make any blatant errors. Sod being a referee!
  21. Got to laugh at Falkirk fans who still think they were hard done by because they chose to spend money on their team rather than stadium development like their rivals did. It’s like boys back in the day who rocked up at Jackie-Os with trainers on and then moaned about not getting in- it was a stupid rule but you knew all about it and chose to ignore it so stop fucking whinging.
  22. I didn’t realise your run had been quite that spectacular. Well done Airdrie. Difficult to see us improving, our poor form hasn’t been down to key players under-performing, it’s been down to key players not playing and that isn’t going to change for Saturday [emoji31] I’d be surprised by anything other than an away win.
