  1. @Red Rosefollowing the long line of P&B windups/roasters. Good for you Great to see the club bring in the ability to purchase tickets ahead of time. The more options we have the better IMO
  2. Yeh C Wilson, there is a player in there. We just need to get him in the right head space. I think the officials were generally poor but they are most weeks at this level. The ball was clearly out for Elgins first but that was over Galway up the pitch we should have dealt with it.
  3. Good crowd and a good amount of youngsters coming a long to the games. They seemed to have got rid of the crazy ones so long may it continue. We didn’t really turn up today but we ground out the result. If I were an Elgin fan I would be raging giving away two penalties. Especially the second, I think there were three penalties in one with the amount of pushing, kicking etc. Carswell seems to have found his place, Lynas at RB is solid, Gray (ginger magician) just has so much energy and Wilson is starting to build his confidence again. if we can get a fit line up of McKee, Gray, McLean, Blair and Wilson with Love up top then I think we’ll do well this season. There seems a good buzz about the place which is great to see.
  4. True. Although I do think a youngster working along side someone with JG would help them progress.
  5. I’m assuming JG is on peanuts. If that’s the case then he is worth the punt. As many people have mentioned already, he looks the fittest he has ever been. I expect he will be 70min odd sub. If he can come on rile up some defenders, win some free kicks for McKee/Gray/Wilson etc to take and add a goal on two then why not give it a chance. There really does seem a real shortage of strikers at the moment so at least we are trying something.
  6. Gotta Love Ally Love giving it the big licks to the Annan fan when he came off.
  7. I mean you could use a VPN. Most are cheep as chips nowadays.
  8. Purely observational but it looked like when he jumped for the goal he landed funny, maybe jaring his back in the process.
  9. A wins a win but Jesus we don’t half make it hard. Initially didn’t think it was a red but others have said it was a stonewaller so I’ll take it. Penalty again not 100% sure. After that we sat back and it seemed we didn’t know what to do apart from lumping long high balls up to our small forwards. Gray looked good but I have to disagree on McNiff, I thought he played terrible, not a LB. Albions Rovers will feel hard done by IMO.
  10. Us being able to stream games wouldn’t really affect the amount of people coming to a game IMO and as other have mentioned, if you can’t make a game or for away games it was great. There definitely shouldn’t be a blackout for this level. Does anyone know if this is a Scottish football thing or does it come from UEFA? Also for any one still wanting to stream games, just use a VPN. Most are easy to set up nowadays.
  11. Positives - Brett Long looks good. Pitch looks good. The weather was nice. negatives - The management team showing they were tactically enept, different square same shit. Though McNiff looked well off it. God only know why we have shortened the pitch.
  12. Looking forward to the game today. Nice to get back to normality.
  13. Anyone got a link to the store? Tried googling and nothing coming up….
  14. I don’t buy the “we can’t afford to sack him” line. Are we flush with cash, absolutely not but I don’t think we are in as dire a situation as some make out. The pressure is on SF to perform this year, no excuses. Right or wrong the club have backed him, new/improved pitch, increased backroom team and players on 2 year deals. I hope he turns it round but there is just something in my mind that says no chance. He will need to have learned a massive amount from last season. I am no footballing expert but last season it was obvious he got his tactics wrong in a lot of games and his player management seemed no existent. After Buchanan’s performances at the end of last season he should be nowhere near the captains armband and unless there are injuries I would start with McGeever and Mcniff at the back. Make no mistake we should be aiming for automatic promotion, anything below is a disappointment for me.
  15. Loving the new kit designs. Especially the home one. Can we just keep that moving forward like Celtic/Madrid etc and just make minor changes each year? Also seeing big McGeever in the shots is building my confidence a bit more. There is no double the manager is need to improve on last season - the players were guff but his tactics and seeming inability to coach the players cost us games. But now starting to look forward to the season.
  16. One event might not but it’s the long game here, building the reputation of the club in the local community means people are more likely to come to a game if they know we are there. I would hazard a guess that a large part of the local population couldn’t tell you were we play. youngsters have nothing to do with the jubilee but to you point in that who would turn up a cold winters night to watch a game. Well we have managed to attract this group while playing terrible football so there is hope.
  17. They may not but they may go along in august and September to a game when they weather is nicer. We have just had a terrible season on the field yet we have attracted 20+ kids that now come to the home games and many to the away games. They might get into it and stay or the might drift in and out. End of the day it’s extra money to the club. There is no magic solution that will suddenly attract and keep people but every little helps.
  18. The jubilee may not have been everyone’s cup of tea but fair play to them bringing in extra money. Even though it’s not football related it get the name out there. People may mention to friends or relatives oh I went to Dumbarton’s ground for that. They may then come along for a game or might look to hire the space. Either way it’s a gateway to potentially more money and as long as it’s not costing the club then it’s a win all round.
  19. I get people don’t rate Farrell but most of your post seem to be about him. Your nearly up there with that guy that used to post about Aly Roy.
  20. I am not massively surprised although I would expect lower end championship. Yes he made one or two mistakes that lead to a goal but he’s young and was badly let down by the people playing beside him, most notable, Buchanan. Maybe I am pinning too much on Mcgeever but if we had him and Stranger at CB together, I think we would be solid.
  21. Words fail me right now. I don’t know who wrote that statement but that’s just terrible…
  22. Yep, clapping like we had done well. Pathetic really.
  23. I just can’t see anything but a EC win. The players have given up.
