  1. Was Dryhorce not a *** who claimed to be dyslexic or something like that?
  2. What is the Hearts criteria out of interest for this anyway? Your auntie has bought you clubs socks in the past 5 years or something?
  3. I see Kenny Mclean has been enjoying himself at Norwich https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/kenny-mclean-toasts-norwich-city-15004548 I usually think anybody over the age of 18 who drinks mad dog is a wrong’n but found this quite amusing.
  4. He was an absolute last minute January panic buy for us. We signed Compper who got injured straight away then another 2 Centre backs got injured and we didn't have anyone else lined up. I said I didn't rate him on here at the time given he had played very few first team games at quite a low level. One Dundee fan even claimed he was better than Ajer ffs . As I said the only way he got a Scotland cap was because of so many drop outs, I don't recall many fans moaning about him getting one at the time. Even with all our centre backs fully fit they are all pretty suspect.
  5. Thats the only thing I thought as I cant really think of any actual logical reason for this. Despite there being decent enough money in the English championship it’s seen as a bit of a clogger league due to the amount of games so clubs are inclined to go with hardy players over technical ones who can take knocks and play 2 games most weeks. Makes a lot of the games shite to watch.
  6. Article says 44 games. Don’t know how great the split would work in the championship but f**k those extra games . Would there then be play offs on top?
  7. Seen that myself earlier, Ignoring the colt stuff If I was a supporter of a championship team I would be thinking f**k that. Will be a shitload more of midweek games which fans don’t have a lot of appetite for as it is. A nightmare for the extra part time teams too. Ridiculous proposal.
  8. We’re you seriously expecting a guy who had Been at Dundee for a few months to be picked? And who’s prior achievements had been playing about 20 odd games at league 1/2 level in England with little effect? He shouldn’t really have even been picked for Scotland when at Celtic but such was the injury crisis he got a cap in March. Being picked for the tour kind of made sense as he had finally played a full season with some decent game time. You can moan about him not getting a cap in his very brief time at Dundee but Whilst there is some pressure in playing in front of some roasters in the Derry it’s not quite the same as playing in front of 50 odd thousand be it at Celtic park or Hampden. It is only natural to favour a guy who has now been exposed to playing under that pressure.
  9. Last minute schmeichel equaliser please.
  10. Didnt even look bothered that he missed it
  11. First 15/20 mins seemed a pretty decent atmosphere but once they realised they werent going to steam roll Leicester its felt like a 2nd leg of a cup tie.
  12. Dont often get goalies that love crosses........ Ok I will see myself out.
  13. Man City were one of few teams who didn’t tear us a new arsehole in the champions league.
  14. Not arsed about this guard of honour stuff. Shitehousery and and shitebaggery are essential ingredients in Scottish football, get this mutual respect pish to f**k.
  15. Don't understand folk moaning about it all on here. Yes they will use tactics videos and highlights as a guide but it’s them who play the candidates that they will most likely base their decision on. I don't agree with a lot of the choices but they are far more qualified than I am to pick them.
  16. Kingjoey kind of reminds me of when my mate shat himself on a nightout but still refused to go home.
  17. Agreed. Was thinking on Saturday as much as he is a no nonsense defender it was ridiculous how much he was clearing the ball away from him straight away regardless of who was around him. The guy is currently a shell of himself. Would rather have a fully fit Hayes at left back than that. He’s done it before with Loovens when he was Interim last time, tried to rush him back when we had already lost the league and out the cup and he ended up missing the start of the next season. MON did it all the time with players when we had a decent enough squad to deal with it. Strachan ran Brown in to the ground when ne needed an op too. I might understand if its the sort of niggle that the player can handle but just doesnt make sense when there is a fully fit option behind them.
  18. I haven’t seen him collect crosses much myself but he does like a ball punch with us, for a keeper though he isnt the biggest however. He also has had Boyata though who just seems to be a magnet for any high ball. He has edged further and further forward over time for us due to Rodgers swepper keeper preference and this is where he pisses all over Gordon for me. He takes next to no time pass the ball on which our defence are far more settled now for. They get the ball a second ealier than usual and that gives them a second longer to take a touch or pick a pass. I am waiting for him to be lobbed one day now though with the higher up the pitch stance he has now.
  19. Hes not got better yet he has somehow gone from 2nd choice Dundee goalkeeper to displacing Celtic and Scotlands no1 in one year
  20. There have been plenty of examples of goalkeepers joining bigger clubs and the struggling with the concentration and pressure aspect and being caught out when ‘doing f**k all’. A prime example of this is when Man Utd lost peter schmeichel and couldnt get a player to handle the role for about 6 years until Van der sar came along.
  21. Using one the examples I listed I dont think Southampton really gave a f**k what the Daily Record thought when they parted with what was decent money at the time for Forster to be fair. A large spanish newspaper did call him the wall such was his performance against Barca Though. A previous Dundee goalkeeper (Douglas ) didn't get too favourable reviews off the media for us. For all the character Rab seemed to have he seemed to crack under pressure at times, Bain seems to love it. I have grown up used to Celtic having shite goalkeepers but since Boruc onwards we have been quite blessed.
  22. What he has done with our last 3 goalkeepers has been unbelievable. It can’t just be coincidence that these 3 goalkeepers just happened to kick on so much here.
  23. I dont remember him playing shite against Sevco, he was great on his debut against them last year despite not playing for months. don't think he was even that bad for Scotland. Even Alex McLeish managed to make an arguably world class full back in Robertson look bang average though. He stagnated at the basket case club that is Dundee under some very under par managers and coaches. He’s then joined a huge club with a GK coach that turned Fraser Forster from a big lump in to a big game champions league player and also resurrected Craig Gordons career after 2 and a half years out. He has improved and thrived under the pressure, still early days yet but signs are quite promising.
