  1. Is this a conspiracy by Celtic to get their colts playing in the league after all?
  2. Not an easy game to watch. We started well but, after they levelled, it was pretty even and I dont think there was much in it. Frustrated that we still haven't noted that Donaldson very rarely loses out in the air but can be suspect with the ball on the ground and yet we continued with high balls in from set pieces. Our substitutions really changed the matrix; up until the last fifteen a draw was probably a fair result; with Forrest; Emanuel Thomas and Hamilton on the pitch the whole dynamics change and I feel we deserved the result if but two goals is a little fortuitous. One things for sure, County definitely showed they have the ability to stay up. There is quality in the team and there seemed to be the belief that they could get at least a point; even if that belief only seemed to last for an hour. My main question is whether Hughes' tactics really suits this particular team; that being said it seemed to be working with us for a while,
  3. Surely his ghastly display against Killie also had something to do with him being dropped eventually?
  4. Sounds like both of us dodge the bullet there. I wonder who the next lucky team will be?
  5. Actually after Hughes' outstanding praise for Anthony Stokes when he left us earlier in the year after only a couple of weeks training on our artificial pitch, and saying that premiership sides should be queuing up for his services, I was surprised he wasn't Hughes' first signing. Never say never though
  6. Personally I don't think Mccrorie is prepared to sit around and wait on the off-chance of getting the odd game. He got in the Scotland (under 21) squad by being a regular starter for QoS and being a Sevco wonder kid. Sitting on the bench means he'll likely be forgotten - Kelly would be a good example; he probably should have been in the Scotland 1st team based on his performance with us but move to QPR reserves and disappeared down the pecking order - probably a good reason for his loan move to Motherwell.
  7. I saw that but, if Mccrorie realised there's no chance of him getting a regular start, then he'll likely ask for a change to somewhere like Raith or back to QoS. Dont think he'd even get on the bench if he returned to Sevco and he's likely to lose his scotland place if he's not a regular starter.
  8. Its not his turn - they've got to take Lithgow first
  9. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a goalkeeper - imagine Mccrorie will be off at the break.
  10. The ground is rock solid outside; I appreciate the "all-weather" nature of the pitch gives a better chance but, like I say its absolutely baltic. Clearing the snow should be a task and a half under the current restrictions whereby they presumably cant call out for volunteers but hopefully the 4pm kick-off might make it a little easier (he says trying to sound positive).
  11. I know you've got a bit of a downer on Lamie but remember the Celtic game where he had Jullien in his back pocket? Also cant believe you've posted on this thread without mentioning Anthony Stokes - if ever a signing astounded me; that was it. Predictable outcome though.
  12. The thing that gets me though is both Shankland and McNulty could pretty much walk into most of the other premiership sides and there's a couple that would bite your hand off to get hold of them; so why were they so toothless. With my Livi-tinted specs on I could say it was because our defence did such a good job in marshalling them, and in may ways I suppose they did although there were a couple of flutter moment. However, from the casual observer, it did seem their service was sporadic and, more often than not, the quality of the through ball ended up miles from the intended recipient. Surely though this is simply a matter of training and tactics? Still I suppose every team has an off-day.
  13. Somehow I don't think you mean Lyndon Dykes as he'd moved to QPR a month or two beforehand. For that game against United we had Scott Tiffoney leading the line although he's about two foot shorter At the moment its difficult for any Livi fan to make any form of reasoned prediction as it really depends on what team turns up on the day. In fact the only prediction I can make is its going to be a bl00dy cold one!
  14. Put it this way - we'll likely only have to experience Aitken a couple of times a season.
  15. You'll be fine - didn't Tony Fitzpatrick guarantee that you'd finish in the top six?
  16. Yet another reason for not logging on once you get back from the pub.
  17. I absolutely understand that; at the end of the day what's the worst that could happen; if we'd had a number of key players carrying knocks then maybe the loss of days prep for our game against Sevco would have been cancelled out by having key player back in action. The winging about it afterwards is something that seems to have wound most people up but then we all know how selective the media can be.
  18. If the full team are available for Saturday why is this even an issue? I appreciate the players may not have been able to train together as a team until the day before but surely that's not a valid reason for wanting the game postponed? I agree there was no harm in asking but to go bleating to the press afterwards seems a bit odd in my opinion. Of course we all know that the gentlemen of the press are no stranger to asking specific questions to manufacture a storywhen none really previously existed.
  19. Really strange one this; I cant imagine any club anywhere would voluntarily put themselves at a disadvantage. Typical passing the buck by Doncaster again if true though.
  20. TBH that was probably the strongest Alloa side I've seen for a long time; continued to compete for the full 90 minutes despite (presumably) a number of the team only being part-time. Certainly a potential banana skin for us avoided. Will be interesting to see how they develop once Scougall gets up to speed.
  21. If there was a time when we would have been susceptible to counter attack the Dundee United game would have been it. It didn't happen
  22. Must say the commentator really does sound in a bad way
  23. looks like theyve brought a third server online.
  24. Try "alternative player" I missed the third goal because I was pishing about trying to get a better picture.
