  1. Kieran MacDonald has joined Raith Rovers and Scott Stewart has left for Arbroath.
  2. 1. Partick Thistle 2. Dundee United 3. Inverness CT 4. Dundee 5. Greenock Morton 6. Dunfermline Athletic 7. Queen of the South 8. Arbroath 9. Ayr United 10. Alloa Athletic
  3. 1. Falkirk 2. Raith Rovers 3. East Fife 4. Airdrie 5. Forfar 6. Peterhead 7. Clyde 8. Dumbarton 9. Montrose 10. Stranraer
  4. Christ. Hutton plus Eckersley, Fordyce & Crighton... All we need now is a right back and we’ll be on track for conceding about 10 goals next season. Just looked back at our defensive record once Murray was appointed and we conceded an average of almost exactly one goal per game, which is pretty impressive and was the best in the league.
  5. https://www.airdriefc.com/adameckersley-300519 Adam Eckersley confirmed.
  6. I’m seeing in the Dumbarton thread that we’ve apparently signed Calum Gallagher. A quick google tells me he had a similar hit rate to McIntosh last season - a replacement? If true, we’ll still need to sign a marquee forward as a lack of goals was our downfall last season.
  7. I wish we’d stop announcing these youngsters individually, I keep getting my hopes up
  8. Adam Eckersley will be a huge improvement on Kieran MacDonald if true.
  9. Signing news incoming... let’s hope he’s signed on the dotted line this time!
  10. I’d be happy with any of the top seeds to be honest. Livi/ Hamilton/ St Mirren are all beatable and it would be good to get a derby with Motherwell. From the second seeds, you would expect Partick to be much stronger next season so would like to avoid them. Other than that, it would be nice to avoid the long distance games like Stranraer/ QoS/ Annan but not fussed generally. The new League Cup format has been a breath of fresh air IMO, looking forward to it!
  11. Fair play boys, it’s been a long time coming.
  12. Yep, I would doubt any club would pay money for the players on that list. Taking some of them off our hands would be good enough for me.
  13. Probably the most likely scenario, it would have been good of them to say that though!
  14. I was just about to post “wrong thread”, then I remembered. Falkirk
  15. I would have come to the same conclusion, had the announcement not stated otherwise: “Defender Kieran MacDonald and midfielder Scott Stewart, although part of the manager’s plans for next season, have also been listed as available due to the pair entering the final year of their contracts.” Why would you be transfer listed if you were “part of the manager’s plans”?
  16. All of the players noted are under contract for next season I believe. Bizarre.
  17. I found that part of the announcement very strange. Why would them being in the last year of their contracts (which most players are in League One) have any relevance to being transfer listed? Surely you’re either wanted by the club and therefore not available for transfer, or not wanted and on the transfer list?
  18. Oh I do love the close season. Folk losing the plot over Chris O’Neil leaving I suspect he was offered a deal that was reflective of his ability; which is a squad rotation player at best. If our ambition for next season is to get promoted, we can’t rely on players like Chris O’Neil as starters. While he put in some solid performances in the second half of the season (the game where he was forced to play on the right side of a back three at Raith after Page was hauled off seemed to be a turning point for him), let’s not forget he was at times a liability at RB/ RWB before that point. If we could get him on the cheap as a squad player, great. Anything beyond that would be bonkers.
  19. Terrible. We finished only a few points better off than last season’s team (which consisted of mainly kids), will a far superior squad of players. A real let down overall. The fact that the only player worth watching in our squad got shipped out to Stranraer on loan was the cherry on top.
  20. We had at least eight players injured/ unavailable and we were only able to have two outfield players on the bench. Don’t talk shite.
  21. Scott Thomson is signed, but I’m not sure if he’d be included in the 12. He signed a deal at the same time at Robbie Leighton, Grant Brennan, Lewis Gracie, Craig Truesdale and Scott Thomson at the start of last season for the reserve team. https://www.airdriefc.com/signings-050618
