  1. Big game, hopefully watched by a big crowd. Don’t know anything about the visitors, bit I do know Darvel will need to be at their best to beat them. Good luck to both clubs.
  2. He’s scored plenty, g. Would do well at Darvel, or Blantyre Vics.
  3. Exciting appointment, good luck to everyone.
  4. Pollok. Talbot. Beith. (Good luck to the new guys.) St Rochs. Hurlford. Petershill. Medda. Neilston.
  5. Hope General John Sheridan gets fit soon, still a tremendous player & leader.
  6. Tremendous result for leaders Darvel at Cumberland. Keep an eye on Blantyre Victoria, good win at Arthurlie. Very capable side moving through the field nicely.
  7. Darvel had a very good afternoon. Blantyre Victoria had a super result making up good ground on the leaders. They are a very capable side, don’t discount them at the run in.
  8. Good win for Talbot. Beith won the toss, & made Talbot attack their favoured end in the 1st half. Neither goalie saw much of the ball, both teams found it difficult to create anything in the blustery wind, & driving rain. Kier Samson put Talbot in front at the beginning of the 2nd half, after Good work from Bryan Boylan set him up to score from 10 yds. Graham Wilson was next up with a goal straight from the training ground. Mark Shankland shaped up to blast a free kick from Cumnock Cross, Graham made a clever run into the left hand side of the box, Mark expertly slipped him a through ball which he blasted home from the corner of the 6 yd box. Talbot went 3 up,when an acrobatic effeort from Mark Shankland created mayhem in the Beith defence, & Graham was on hand to force the ball over the line from the distance of a Fish Finger. Graham completed a fine afternoon for him & his team when he scored late on after being set up by Mark Shankland. Decent game, healthy attendance on a bitterly cold day.
  9. Talbot 4-0 Beith FT Keir Samson 52 mns. Graham Wilson 72 mns. Mark Shankland or Graham Wilson 80mns. Graham Wilson 87 mns.
  10. Very similar in style to Talbot captain William Lyle. Played very well yesterday. The lack of respect he showed to the officials spoiled his performance, lucky not to get booked in one of Polloks easiest wins of the season.
  11. Pollok 4-0 Largs FT Paul Gallagher 46mns. JordanShelvey 60mns.
  12. Pollok 2-0 Largs HT Stuart McCann 2mns. Shaun Fraser 35mns pen.
  13. Petershill, very well done. Take that confidence into the league games now.
  14. Good Psychology,andy25. Let one of your best players know he is playing like a Haddie. Then he plays a massive part in one of your best results of the season. You should be in the frame for the Arsenal job.
  15. Beith started like cup holders going 2 in front after 20mns. Their no 8 snookered a Darvel defender on the 18 yd line, turned quickly & skilfully slotted the ball home from just inside the box. Soon after Beith no 10 doubled their advantage when he bravely surged forward & blasted home from 20 yds. Darvel started to put Beith under pressure & went close on a few occasions before half time. HALF TIME Darvel 0-2 Beith. Darvel’s Darren Miller got involved in some nonsense at the beginning of the 2nd half & received a red card. The home side adapted well to being a player down, & got themselves back into the game when a corner from the right caused carnage in the visitors defence & the ball ended up in the net. Not sure who put it there, but Danny Boyle played a large part in the goal. Sean McIllroy put Beith further in front when he spent more time in the air than Neil Armstrong to power a header high into the net, ending a fine Beith move on the left. Darvel’s no 2 made things interesting when he volleyed home a cracker from 20 yds. Alan McKenzie nearly took the game to penalties when he came close in the last minute. Very good game on a bitterly cold afternoon. MOM Beith’s no 2 one of the best players I’ve saw this season.
