Shouldn’t even be too hard for defenders to not lose their man at a corner. Defenders have so much freedom to literally hold a striker in place without the ref blowing for a penalty. Not saying we should be fouling players as not to lose them, but defenders more or less have a free pass to be able to track their man by just having an arm on him.

That’s the point some folk are missing. Well put. Patience is obviously needed as a football fan but that’s 5 years of patience we’ve had now since promotion from League One, and after 5 years you have to say baws to the ‘experiment’ pish and that thing ‘takes time’ with a new manager. Simply, we are a club who should really be looking at the title this season*, the manager even says so himself, and on the first two league games that’s looking like a pipe dream. *that’s not big team entitlement pish, we should just be a lot more ambitious than being content enough at getting into the playoffs.

The East Stand is being used as an away changing area for now. Hopefully that gets in the bin soon once social distancing is no longer required and we can get away fans in for the next home game.

Agree with parsforlife and Rob that Martin might find himself on the left of the three centre halves. He’s do well to replace Edwards, especially as Edwards is naturally left footed and though his deliveries are still a bit inconsistent, they have improved so much and is capable of putting in very dangerous crosses. If Grant wants 2 of the 3 centre halves to carry the ball into the midfield and offer something for the wingbacks then Martin could suit that role well.

2000 supporters is fucking laughable. What’s worse is that for some reason I feel like we might only just sell that many. Doesn’t seem to be a massive appetite for it at the moment, hopefully that changes next week.

Decent enough signing. He showed glimpses of being a clever striker in his short spell with us. I’m sure he scored a few for Dundee but can’t really remember what the overall feeling was with them.

Can’t say I’m impressed with that at all tbh. On that showing we’ll struggle in a lot of games and with Grant’s style of football we could be in for one of the most frustrating seasons we’ve seen.

Am I missing something? What does the players’ mental wellbeing have to do with this? It’s shite that you might have to play the game with numerous players free from isolation just hours before the game, but I’m not getting the mental health angle the club is trying to go for in a further attempt to get the game postponed.
