There’s a lot to be positive about from that performance. On another day - not everyone’s favourite football cliche, I know - a couple of those chances would have been taken and the game ends entirely differently. Such is the nature of knockout tournaments such as the Euros, though, I fear we’re going to seriously, seriously regret that match and look back on it as a massive missed opportunity. If we’d taken a point, or even scored once today, I’d have been far more up for Friday than I’m feeling right now.

Apologies if this tweet has already been pointed out - I couldn’t see it anyway - but this seems a pretty reliable definition; anything within 10 miles of the M8. Some minor controversies however, as it includes places like Helensburgh but excludes the Kincardine Bridge(s) and large parts of Falkirk and Grangemouth.

I didn’t realise the limit at an all-seater stadium would still be as low as 2,000 even in tier zero. Be some laugh when the attendance is literally restricted to that exact figure and then we announce it as 5,500 on the first home game.

That’s me gauging your entire pre-season/full squad based on your first two signings, so I could have entirely misjudged, that’s just how it’s looking so far.

I wonder if that was during the same season/window that he came on loan to Dunfermline. He was still very young and naïve during his short spell with us, but with Raith it looks like his performances ranged sporadically from nonexistent to a very good Championship winger. Killie look to be establishing a very capable Championship squad, yet one that would need a fair bit of work if you’re to go back up straight away. To be fair, the ‘build a squad good enough for the league above’ approach didn’t exactly work for Falkirk, so who knows.

Can’t say I’ve ever had a fruit slice from Stephen’s. Not something I’d normally choose from a bakers, but if it’s anything like their other cakes (that I’ve had) then it’ll be the bollocks as well.

Just a couple of league and cup games to speak of. Hasn’t looked great in those games but he’s young and really inexperienced, never know what a decent run of games at senior level could do for him.

Is that the case aye? Sounds like the Turner situation has been over for a while, but I’d be surprised if Euan Murray hadn’t been offered a new contract. Also, Kyle Turner will win the Champions League one day and we’ll rue the day we let him leave.

He seems chaotic as f**k and I love it already. Going to be some incredible moments this season, you can tell.

Hopefully we’ll see some signing coming in soon. It’s been weird seeing other clubs announcing new players knowing we wouldn’t see any until we had a manager.

Christ. I’ll remain optimistic that with a better budget he can perform better but on the face of it that’s an extremely uninspired appointment.
