  1. My contribution to this thread, not sure if it's been mentioned already, is Radio 4's archive of Great Lives. Vivid biographies of amazing people, some you've heard of - although my favourites are often the ones I'd never known of before. In fact, there's so much of R4's output on BBC Sounds that is just fantastic. A Good Read is another.
  2. That's brilliant news. I've only just started listening to the Adam Buxton podcast but had actually avoided that one in case the big yin was in the opposite condition. Will listen today. I just listened to the Catcher in the Rye review with Richard Ayoade and Sara Pascoe, absolutely brilliant stuff. The way in which AB can lurch from high brow reference to schoolboy humour has always delighted me.
  3. Envisaging Ford Kiernan dropping this pearl to a beleaguered Steven Dobbie is my favourite thing of the week so far.
  4. The signing of Martin Braithwaite has confirmed to me what I always suspected. Barcelona are a total magnet for VLs from across the world.
  5. That's a load of rubbish. Not a handball from McKenzie at the first goal - the foul on Findlay is "seen them given" territory. Would have been muted complaints had it gone their way, but I can see why the referee awarded it. ETA - Ultimately, the debate has focused exclusively on the refereeing performance, and has completely overlooked the fact that Killie were absolutely outstanding in the second half. We won that game to a far greater extent than they lost it.
  6. For the first time in years I don't really want anyone to be relegated. St Mirren/Ross County - good guys. Hearts - easy points, big away support. Accies - continue the Sportsound seethe. If only we could get Dundee back for three months and enjoy their demise all over again.
  7. Amazing what the prospect of an anti-Kilmarnock love-in can do for two failing supports... In all seriousness, this should be a cracker. Hoping to see the home side victorious and through to the quarters at Rugby Park
  8. The Aberdeen come out with this shite every single time we play one another. "Aw, wouldn't pay me to come to watch this shower" "Killie won this already" etc. etc. mair Jane Austen level melodrama Followed by a Dons win. You're fooling nobody. Kilmarnock have NEVER won a Scottish cup tie against Aberdeen - this will be (I think) our 10th attempt.
  9. Jeezo, that was a bit more awkward than it needed to be. Three points though, keep going.
  10. Don't know Rab, probably having a bit of downtime after Rambo last year
  11. Some comeback yesterday, but tbh it pales in significance next to our very own @Jacksgranda lighting up the BBC comments section! Can I have your autograph big man? #boxoffice
  12. So on Burns' night, the publishers lost, the tomb lost, and the birthplace won. There's a poem in there somewhere I'm sure........ye fucking shower ye's.
  13. Celtic having a bizarre meltdown after beating us the other night. They've apparently written to Sky to "demand answers" from Kris Boyd now. It's going to be like Jonestown when they eventually lose a league title, whenever that might be.
  14. There's something about this that makes me pretty uncomfortable. Admittedly it's a strange thing to do while in such a public environment, but it's not a crime, and it's not as though it was some extreme material - feels a lot like he's been embarrassed for some youngster's twitter lolz. Kinda poor show I think.
  15. So we lost quite convincingly in the end, but unfortunately the huddled masses were unable to add to their lead at the top of the table - if someone could add all this together and let me know what side of the religious divide this puts me that'd be swell.
  16. It'll be fine mate. Decades of battling against an institutional hierarchy has left your support undernourished, willowy and brittle, will def. not be a prob.
  17. Hopefully the inevitably "exhuberant" pitch invaders snap their ACLs on our horror pitch. Celtic's refereeing team to engineer a 0-2 win for the persecuted but plucky underdogs from Glasgow's East End.
