I believe that is what the Trust Board are trying to do, for the last 18 months they have tried to put together governance protocols and revise the company's Articles of Association through a joint working group with the club board who have to date declined to engage with them. Any agreements would be put to shareholders and members for approval. One of the Trust Board's requirements is democratic elections to the club board to end the present situation where the club board is a self-perpetuating clique which ignores the shareholders and trust members. Since the Trust's takeover there have been no elections to the club board, nor has there been an annual general meeting at which the board has been required to explain and account for the past year's actions. Although this is not a requirement of a private limited company, it does reflect the board's attitude to shareholders. Under a democratic process members of the present club board would not be prohibited from standing for election to a newly convened club board working under those protocols, which will ensure that a new board would be fully accountable to Trust members through the Trust Board.

It gives the impression of having been designed with Highland League football in mind, which is probably was at the time, not for a club with aspirations of the championship. It will be be able to be upgraded but its location is soul destroying and that's not going to change.

It has not been and is not the intention of the trust board to interfere in the operational management of the club, but they do expect the executive committee to be accountable to the majority shareholder through the trust board and to provide regular quarterly updates on the business performance of the club, accept an overview of team management and Club Board appointments and of annual budgets and business plan. As the elected representatives of the majority owner the trust board would be failing in their duty if this is not insisted upon. As an intimate of the executive committee you will be fully aware that for the last four years the chairman has resisted all attempts to introduce such transparency into his committee's dealings with the shareholders.

End of season stuff with neither side having very much to play for, Kelty were well down on their normal control around the park and we were better than expected. Still no point in reading anything into performances or result as Kelty are going up and we're still mired in lower mid-table mediocrity. You are ill-informed regarding the source of most of the funds available to the club last May, like all other clubs we received grants/donations from government, football, James Anderson, and the Trust's initiative fan appeal, all of which were outwith the club executive's input. The motion to remove him came from two individuals, the basis of their dissatisfaction being the dismal performances over a considerable period. There are deeper underlying causes for dissatisfaction, for longer than poor performances the chairman has tirelessly worked to marginalise the Trust Board and after each success criticised them. In doing so, he has treated the Trust Board and the individual shareholders as mushrooms - kept them in the dark and fed them a load of sh*t. He is not there for the good of Stirling Albion, rather it's for the greater glory of self.
