  1. I think I'm going to get hit by that later on, so hopefully they do add something. At the moment I'm so painfully shit at the game that the runs aren't quite as long. Think my one yesterday was a touch under an hour. And you're right about cheaper. New titles are fucking ridiculous now for pricing.
  2. Ended up getting Returnal and...it's actually pretty good. Not the usual type of game I enjoy, and in the early parts of it the difficulty level is unforgiving, but had a longer run at it last night where I started getting past some of the bits I'd been struggling on, and it's incredibly satisfying.
  3. I'm similar. I can't say I'm that bothered by the whole thing, but it does seem a bit tinpot. Obviously we're not going to forget exactly, but I'd like to seem like we're above the sort of pish that Hearts were doing. Also not sure what it really achieves. But it's not like it'll really hurt us to do it either, so hard to get too worked up about it.
  4. Wonder how they'll do the coverage of the England game. One broadcast team with split pundits, or one for ITV and one for STV? Or a big rammy all in the same studio would be nice
  5. If your wooden and robotic in a pre-recorded, over-produced return vignette, I have no hope that you won't be just as awful as you were the last time. If she proves everyone wrong and comes back being great in the ring, then fair enough, but...it's Eva Marie
  6. The Silent Hill demo was the one for me. I think I played one that missed out on a bit of the censorship in the original copy (or that might be 13-odd year old me making it up at the time) but it was just the school sections, and the toddler-sized long-clawed things were missing their claws, and just looked like, well, school-kids. It was terrifying. EDIT: On investigation, I Was right. I must have played a demo based on the European version (f**k knows how) which replaced the clawed monsters with toddlers holding knives. Lovely.
  7. I'm a big fan of both, dont' get me wrong. I think they switched later in each series for me. If you put each title of each franchise up against each other in order of release (excluding remakes and other...weird titles), then they trade blows Silent Hill vs Resident Evil Silent Hill 2 vs Resident Evil 2 Silent Hill 3 vs Resident Evil 3 Silent Hill 4: The Room vs Resident Evil: Code Veronica Silent Hill: Origins vs Resident Evil 4 Silent Hill: Homecoming vs Resident Evil 5 (neither wins, both fucking hopeless) Silent Hill: Downpour vs Resident Evil 6 (neither wins, both fucking hopeless) Interesting final one, as you'd put PT up against RE7. Both very similar feel, both move to first person. Just gutting we never got the rumoured Silent Hills (although we got Death Stranding, so that's nice)
  8. I've played through most of the MGS series, but never the original oddly. Not really sure how I missed it. Would be very interested in a remaster, although anything in the MGS series is going to be problematic to bring back out with Konami and Kojima not exactly seeing eye to eye. RE2 though...ooft. Wonderful wee game. Not sure it would hold up now, particularly now they've brought out the spangly new remaster. But at the time I would put it above Silent Hill as probably the best survival horror title. The original was proper kitsch and a bit laughable in parts with the voice acting and campness, but they removed most of that for the second, and managed to add a decent level of replayability with the second character and then the alternate scenarios. One thing that really strikes me about it looking back though is just how short a game it was. It had that popular-at-the-time ranking system where you got a letter ranking at the end based on how you played. I played it so much I pushed for the S rank, which I believe needed you to play through the entire story without saving and without using first aid sprays. And then you had to complete it in under 2 hours. A whole story campaign of a game in under 2 hours. The sort of shit that would get you lynched nowadays. But it worked, particularly with the extra scenarios. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

    FIFA 21

Decided to boot the game back up, and weirdly there were points sitting there. No idea how, maybe some psplus thing. Anyway, opened packs with them and what coins I had left, and... f**k all. A jobber EFL TOTS, and nothing above an 83. Then the game crashed.
  10. Typical WWE. I mentioned a career vs title match around WM time as something they could build towards at one of the big shows, and really cement Reigns as the biggest shit in town by retiring Bryan in front of a baying crowd. But no, let's do it in the Thunderdome weeks after WM in front of no fans. Top work. I know it's not likely the end of the story, but just feels once again like they've not made what they could of something. Wonder what's next for Bryan. He was talking about how he was just going through the motions with the WM main event, so maybe he's just not got the love anymore. With his history, if you're not loving what you're doing, what's the point in the risk? I think he's earned a shot at going home to his family if that's what he wants. Hopefully they give him a bit of time away, he reignites the love for it, and he gets a proper storyline to send him off.
  11. The one piece of sense that came from Michael on commentary last night was that it was hard to argue against any player being kept for next season. Mccall has said it's unlikely Bell, Geggan etc will be there. I would take Wright on loan again and there's no doubting we should do everything to get Tiffoney. I'd give Foster another season as well You had to really look for one of those! He's right though, and that's very rare for us. I can't remember a season where we didn't have a long list of players we were happy to punt. Guess it'd be the Championship winning one?
  12. An odd end to an odd season. Absolutely pumping the team we thought would be our closest rivals, to win the title, and the commentators just having a wee gab about the Euros in front of what seems like a training match
  13. Quite an interesting Championship shaping up, even before we find out who's up and who's down. Don't see anything to fear if we really have turned a corner in this past month.
  14. At this rate, I wouldn't be so sure about the bolded part.
  15. This is Michael Max doing the comms isn't it? Who is he? Why did we decide that this was the guy people wanted to hear in a time where there's a lot more eyes and ears on the product?
  16. Not even that, by playing well for a calendar month, and being so poor in the other months (up to just a few weeks ago) that we were ready to chuck the entire management team into the canal. We were lucky that the rest of the league weren't up to much, and now we're playing to where we should have all season.
  17. The only positive I can see is that Eminem looking guy for Falkirk. He looks like the only one who at least wants to run around.
  18. Keeper getting in amongst the celebrations by absolutely palming in that goal and making it look even better. Mutch better. And comms should f**k off with the "hurr hurr, we're Thistle, we don't do things easy, hurr hurr". We're 3-0 up, you can enjoy yourselves without taking the piss.
  19. Terrific coverage of games we have, as long as you mute it. Inane and often incorrect chatter from the lead, then throwing over to the lad in the cupboard, terrified his bird's husband will hear and find him.
  20. From our perspective, it's good. Another few options we can bring along to hopefully give us another dimension (although I don't think we really have too many contentious decisions to make, unlike some larger nations). However, the new sub rule being kept on, and larger squads, are probably going to mean the games themselves descend into a bit of a farce late on. Potentially 10 subs between the two sides, and another 2 potentially in extra-time. And watch the ref add on a minute for the lot.
  21. Don't you go refusing to play again or yeez will be sorry, soyeezwill!
  22. Interesting to hear how it is. Seems the best fit for the new tech on the PS5, although hearing it described, it sounds like something I won't enjoy
  23. That's what I don't understand about him. He seems tailor made to be a heel, either just an arrogant chicken-shit one or a stone-cold killer. But they seem intent on making him a hur-hur face.
  24. Brilliant reaction to go back level when we'd have traditionally shat the bed. From what I could see of the stream, seems like a fair result. Not the best for us and keeps it a three horse race for now, but certainly two points dropped for Cove rather than us.
  25. You'd think so, wouldn't you? But I expect the contingency plan is just a sad face drawn in crayon on the back of a Lidl receipt.
