I think if we beat you in a couple of weeks you'll still have a shot at it, because we will almost certainly drop points elsewhere. If you beat us, we're not coming back from that.

I've seen a bit of chat here about Raith never having a better opportunity than this to win promotion, and I would agree. Yes, if you stay down it means by definition that we go up, and Livingston will surely not be in a healthy state next season. Having said that, you don't know what next season will look like. Other teams will strengthen too, Falkirk will have all the momentum in the world next season, and who knows what happens to the many loan players Raith currently have. There's absolutely no guarantee Raith will be as strong as they have been this season, and given how many games this season have been won by a single goal (and quite often by very late goals), is that sustainable next season? Who knows. There are a lot of variables over the course of a full season. As things currently stand, you have seven games to win one more point than a Dundee United side who have been haemorrhaging points since late December. You've had three recent opportunities to go ahead of us, and failed to take any of them. You failed to beat Morton at home and you utterly shat the bed against Arbroath (I have no idea how yesterday's game went in fairness). Right here right now, you are up against a team filled with players who are either off form, chucking it or just not good enough, managed by an idiot. You absolutely will not get a better shot than this.

I have seen us win at every Premiership ground other than Pittodrie - I am old enough to have seen us win at Celtic Park, depressingly. In the Championship, have never seen us win at Somerset Park or at Hampden (against Queen's Park). In League One, have seen United play at Falkirk, Hamilton, Montrose, Alloa, Stirling (a long time ago) and Dumfries - Alloa is the only one I have never seen us win at. In League Two, have seen United play at Ainslie Park, Ochilview, The Rock, Station Park, Borough Briggs and Stair Park. Ainslie Park is the only one I have never seen us win at. I did see us draw at old Bayview a long time ago, we needed a stoppage time equaliser iirc. I saw us win at Broadwood once as well, think it was a midweek game. We also failed to win in my one and only time watching United at Glebe Park, one of the four points Brechin managed that season. I have seen games at Bonnyrigg, Kelty, New Bayview, and both old and new incarnations of Meadowbank in my time, but not involving United. Never been to Cove, Annan, or Peterhead.

I am not a Michael Stewart fan at all, but by Christ the mere thought of Craig Levein reduces him to a seething mess. It's very funny.

We played them midweek at Fir Park when they were dying on their arse and the crowd was 501. I was the 1. It was the record for the lowest ever top flight attendance iirc for a couple of weeks, until the game you mentioned.

I remember it all too well. The utterly useless Rudi Skacel scored his one and only goal for us. I remember thinking we wouldn't win when it went to 3-1...and we needed a penalty at the end to make it 4-4. Bonkers, and not in a good way

I feel the same. He was very good during the Tam Courts season, but his confidence is absolutely shot now. A move is the best option for him. I hope he makes a go of it.

I went to see a game between Luton and Wolves there about 20 years ago, and the seat I booked did not exist. I had something like seat G2, and the row of seating started at number 3. A steward told me to sit in the aisle, then half an hour later another steward bollocked me for blocking the aisle. In summary, f**k Luton

I think that's fair. If he gets us up, and I think he still will, then it's mission accomplished. Obviously, he'll be punted if we don't go up. I'm not a huge fan, I must say. I know not everyone agrees and thats fine, but I feel that we are where we are despite him, not because of him. It's maybe unfair, but if he does take us up, I think he'll be gone by October anyway.
