  1. .. yet I'll guarantee they hold almost identical political and social views to, er, you. Minter, indeed.
  2. Because focus-free anger and resentment of anyone who is "no' wan ae us" is their default setting.
  3. Repeat that, with an image of the present incumbent in mind, and weep for this country.
  4. He's in his fucking 70s - what the hell does he think he'll achieve?
  5. A frankly fortunate eight for monday - Aussie TV and Aussie cricket. The guessometer was functioning pretty well, but it can only do so much. I reckon this week's winning scores would be relegation standard in any other week.
  6. True. I would add that the level of actual education provided by the very "top" school is pretty fucking poor, given the examples we see day after day showing how little they know about, well, anything really. Obviously, the sons of rich cűnts leave Eton with little or no knowledge, but a boatload of connections to ensure that they, too, will become rich cűnts.
  7. Jellyfish - a good example of the "life is shit in fading seaside resorts" genre. A young carer struggles to keep her family together while battling her mum's mental illness and an uncaring State. Set in Margate, this is one for those of us who see Ken Loach' s films as too cheerful. Liv Hill gives a superb performance in the lead role, and the mundane nature of the daily struggle she endures adds to the fatalistic atmosphere. Not exactly a barrel of laughs, but a really good (if occasionally uncomfortable) watch. 8.5/10 (Prime Video) ETA: now I've slept on it, I reckon that yes, a wee tear during the theatre scene near the end was absolutely justified, and not just me being an old softie.
  8. Five for the warm up*. This week is gonna be carnage. * five of the first six, then fell of a cliff. Couldn't honestly say I was 100% on any of them.
  9. Rory really has come into a rich vein of form recently. There should be a few on here and elsewhere frantically deleting posts from earlier in the season. And yes, that is one hell of a ball to the big man.
  10. I'm not blinded - eyes wide fucking open as they have been since Thatcher declared war on the working class. No matter how bad DP are, it's the UK government's first and main duty to protect the interests of its citizens, not to create the conditions which allow this kind of behaviour. Lets just see the response from the horrible, horrible asset stripping cűnts in government. I'm not holding my breath. And yes, I do hate this racist, thieving, criminally negligent parcel of fucking rogues. Not a redeeming feature anywhere. They've killed any chance my kids and grandkids had of a decent future, and that I cannot, and will not forgive.
  11. Yep, Johnson's Tories - Champions of the workers. They complied, ok. No great noise made until this shit blew up though, as their supporters would not have been best pleased at continued bending of the knee to Brussels. Strange it's only the UK workers being fucked over, don't you think? LB - how far do you think they will push for realistic compensation for UK workers, and how severely will the cűnts at P&O be punished - if at all?
  12. ...and there's the well worn tactic of "post "amusing" picture when I run out of big words" Off to beddy byes, sonny.
  13. ..and because (B), absolutely fucking (A). To be fair, rather than causing the rise, they have failed to take obvious and timely measures to mitigate the looming crisis.
  14. A 170-page document is about as far from the back of a fag packet as Morton are from a successful football team. I'd be pretty confident in stating that you've never read that or any other party's manifesto. Your reality is, sadly, the product of your believing, with no foundation, that you are the intellectual superior on here. Most other posters on here live in actual reality. Glad you're admitting to your casual racial stereotyping.
  15. Continuing the sub-Glitter personality nonces theme, I used to lock up a former Hot Chocolate keyboard player.
  16. So, what you're saying is that the UK government enacted legislation to comply with the EU TWO YEARS after the vote to leave and reclaim control? Aye, that makes a lot of sense. Whatever the reason, EU compliance was not it.
  17. Labour committed eight billion to form and fund a national care service in the 2017 manifesto. But hey, don't let the facts get in the way of your latest mega brain pronouncement. By the way, wee bit racist that you don't lump Angus from Aberdeenshire and Morag from Galloway in with your stereotype Tories.
  18. Absolutely a fan of taxing those (corporate and individuals) who can most afford it. Absolutely not a fan of a so-called Labour leader who won't go the extra step and commit to nationalising energy as well as rail while laying out a plan to reverse the decline of our Health Service. ,
  19. There was a time I'd have agreed without thinking. Over a decade of a Government whose policies purposefully and deliberately make life less fulfilling, less healthy and in many cases shorter for an appreciable proportion of its citizens, however, lead me to believe that any support for such a regime* should share at least some responsibility for the consequences. *Especially when these voters' own lives have seen no measurable improvement through the actions of this crew of cúnts.
  20. Then you've pretty well Won At Life.
  21. I'm feeling worried for these kids as well. I mean sure, their home towns are being bombed into nothing, but is there really justification for whipping them over to Scotland so precipitously? Could they not have hung around in Dnipro (or at least Poland) until we got all the DBR, CRB and the like completed for all concerned?
