  1. North Ireland is a big drop off in quality from Switzerland. I assume the only remaining alternatives were them, Cowdenbeath or Eastwood Juveniles and we've picked the game most likely to rack up the goals.
  2. Ronald Araujo's performance was a sight to behold. Pick the biggest duffer you've ever seen play centre back for your crap Scottish club and chances are they'd have put in a better effort last night.
  3. On his current rate of improvement, Wasiri is just about ready to be cutting inside and fucking goals in from 30 yards, a la Phillip Lahm at the 2006 WC. With a near fully fit squad, we could also have the option of playing a back 5. It might not suit Lawless and Fitzpatrick starting in the same team, but could allow us to cover more areas of the pitch and I could see Williams being capable of stepping into DM to allow us to rotate between formations when needed.
  4. I don't agree with Williams being dropped. We've looked more solid down that side with him than with Milne and I think he deserved a chance there against a better team. Hopefully Milne's few weeks out will be good for him though as, on form, he's obviously the best option there.
  5. Are 11 point codes meant to be sent at 10.30 same as for 12 yesterday?
  6. 3 fans first tickets on 12 points. GIRFUY Hamish.
  7. Over on Bein, Steve Cooper is cutting a forlorn figure and Alan Pardew has been touted for the Palace job.
  8. The Morrisons at Shawlands is what I heard.
  9. I can't help but think that St Johnstone FC are in some way responsible for this.
  10. Now the Sellick fans are deciding that they, in fact, aren't happy about him coming back after binning them in the middle of a season, where next for Brendan Rodgers? A reverse Andy Roberston and going from Liverpool to Queen's Park?
  11. Man United's performace was like a confused hybrid of Walter Smith's Scotland hanging on for dear life against France and some sort of shite John Hughes attempt at Total Football. You could make an argument for Ten Hag if they looked like beating last season's 75 points total by even a point or two, but it's patently obvious they're getting nowhere near that or the top 4. Liverpool away on the 17th looks like the shame game that will do it for him, especially if it follows Bayern pumping them out of Europe.
  12. We seemed to get progressively poorer as the game wore on, at least in terms of keeping some kind of pressure on the Airdrie half. That's understandable due to having to end the match without a striker and a knackered Fitzpatrick up front instead, but I felt McInroy showed poor retention of the ball when he came on and the ball kept coming back to the (largely impressive) back 4 due to the lack of quality shown in midfield. In the first half we saw some excellent combinations between McMillan and Lawless, but I though the Airdrie left back did well in limiting any end product from that side. Fitzpatrick was explosive at times in the first half and Diack, at the very least, matched the kind of presence we're used to from Brian Graham which is some turn for a boy making (I think) his first professional start. I'm enjoying Williams more every week at left back. Granted we've had a favourable run of home games against the dregs of the division, but we've looked a good bit less vulnerable down that side since he came in and the way he rolled off challenges today was beautiful to watch. From Piccolo to Pirlo.
  13. I can exclusively reveal that Scotland will be drawn against Hungary, Netherlands and Morocco in Euro 2024 and that we will draw 2-2 with Queen of the South in a warm-up-match at the Veltins Arena.
  14. Tom Cairney is a time vortex. If we call him up, the second he touches the ball we'll all be spun back to the 2018 Costa Rica friendly and everything that has since happened will be lost.
  15. You simply can't come into our league, expect to play how Postecoglou wants to play and get away with it.
  16. Just saw the dive on Sportscene, a genuine contender for one of the best of all time. Right up there with Morten Gamst Pedersen, Saulias Mikoliunas and Chris Burke.
  17. We had more round pegs in round holes than the game at Hampden and Fitzpatrick in current form takes us to a different level. Williams and Alston look to be finding some form now and it makes our squad feel a bit stronger than it did a few weeks ago. Queens Park look like some crap tribute of Steven Pressley's Falkirk. They might as well go all out and appoint the gobshite himself.
  18. For the last 6 months I've been doing one set per exercise, picking a weight where I'll fail anywhere between 6-12 reps. Once you can do 12 reps really slow and controlled, you can move up a weight. I've found this has increased my strength like nothing else has and I'm able to lift weights I could barely look at about a year ago. Each session you'll usually go up in either weight or reps and I'm usually in and out of the gym in about 30-45 minutes. E.g. for chest, I would do nothing more than a set of incline bench press with dumbbells, followed with one set each of flyes and dips. Now and again I like to throw in a drop set. Mind you, I've practically eliminated cardio and calorie control in that time and have lost whatever definition I had
  19. 1-1 final score here and a last minute goal for Armenia is the big steaming curler into those stupid bucket hats that we all want.
  20. My mate reminded me at the pub the other night that I'd played a few games for Scotstoun Boys Club when I was at school. "Oh aye, I completely forgot about that." I imagine that's how John McGinn feels about St Mirren.
