  1. I have to laugh at the logic those rabid anti-gunners use. Someone uses their car to kill someone >>> Blame the driver Someone blows up a building >>> Blame the bomber Someone goes on a shooting spree >>> Blame the gun
  2. I know people go on about Nigel Farage's frequent appearances on the show, but surely Caroline Flint has been on just as much if not more than he has. Having Alex Salmond and David Davis meant the show was always going to decent. However, having that Bruce Willis lookalike on next week should make it the most exciting show since Nick Griffin came on a few years back.
  3. Take it you haven't seen that episode with Farage and Brand?
  4. TBF, the real corruption no one talks about is not FIFA or the Olympic Association embezzling and taking bribes, but the looting that arises from high ranking politicians and contractors when new infrastructure is required to host such events. This is because no one knows how much it costs to do such projects because there is nothing to compare it to like say a new road. So perfect opportunity to fill their own pockets and do pet projects, with the general population being none the wiser. The Sochi Olympics was a perfect example of this
  5. They have the most MEP's so they can't exactly be put in those terms.
  6. What a lucky b*****d Bingham is. Incredible run of the balls all match against Trump.
  7. There has been a lack of domestic players coming through in recent years, which can be put down to more distractions and less prize money. Which explains why the older players are more dominant. Ever since Hearn changed the tournament schedule, it's caused more burnout and the overall standard of the World's has dropped over the last 5 years. We're unlikely to see the standard we saw in the 09 World's for a very long time if ever. I think over the next 10-20 years it's inevitable we're going to see tournaments dominated by foreign players, especially the Chinese, which could lead to calls to host the World's somewhere other that Sheffield.
  8. It's hard to see anyone other than Trump winning at this point.
  9. Aside from McGill being the obvious emergent player. Most matches have gone more or less the way you'd expect them to go. I was highly impressed with his win over Selby. Given that Selby wasn't exactly substandard.
  10. You're ignoring the fact that Scotland pays more in tax per head in England. We have far more rural communities where services are more expensive to provide. So we should get more funding per head.
  11. SNP are clearly not socialists. They might be left centrist, or maybe even right centrist. However, I don't deny they're a nationalist party. In terms of left/right ideology I don't think members/supporters would be too upset if they were to lurch one way or the other, as long as it suits the times. After all, they were called "Tartan Tories" back in the days of old Labour. You only have to look at SSP and Green Policies to realize how moderate SNP are compared to them.
  12. In the context of the interview, she was right to point out the BBC's conflict of interest when it comes to covering the EU. If you take the BBC's word hook and sinker over the years. You would think UKIP are a mad, racist and Nazi like party. Yes, I'm sure if you go looking for it you could find members of UKIP who are racist, or have made racist statements. Just like you could find anyone from the main stream parties. UKIP are Neo-Thatcherites; not a neo-facist party. They want a return to 80's Britain.
  13. That statement did piss off a lot of our fans including me to a certain extent, because it came across as "I'd rather this club go under, than see that happen". As for Turnball, he certainly got to where he did in life on merit. No Bob's your uncle or masonic handshakes. Like we see all too often in this day and age. I believe he went to Harvard and graduated with top honours and made most of his money by being Chief Executive of Diageo. He came to Raith during a time when those two Glasgow crooks were threatening to turn Stark's Park into block of flats. Even by cash strapped standards we were in a very difficult situation back then. To the point where we shook hands with the devil and let Anelka into the club, which ended up setting us back at least 5 years. Anelka was so bad it covered up how bad Gordon Daizel was. Getting John McGlynn into the club was certainly a good move. I don't like his anti-football stuff, but he was the right man at the right time. Who understood the constraints he was working under and even agreed to take pay cuts along the way. Then the Rangers situation came along something he was most remembered for. The reason Turnball took the stance he did, was because life long friends and season ticket holders threatened to cut ties with him. If he dared to bring the new Rangers into (what was then known as) the First Division. I remember being at the league reconstruction meeting in 2013, and remembering how genuine he came across during the discussion. I could see he was doing it out of love of the club, and I didn't have any suspicious of hidden motives or agendas.
  14. But a well known name or fan favourite often gets the punters exited. After all, how come Kenny Dalglish kept getting all these jobs? Certainly not because he was any good. On the other hand, how much of a difference does a good manager make on the field compared to a average manager? Probably 5% at most. IMO, the worst managers I've always found are the fan favorites. It's probably because they come in with the least skepticism; find it harder to win the respect of players and don't take their job as seriously as they should.
  15. They do have the most MEP's and have 15% of the popular vote. However, I'm well aware the FPTP system will likely give them around 5 seats.
  16. As much as they may have a point. Acting like that can only ever play into UKIP's hands. As they can portray themselves as the victims. All they have to do is act more statesmen like and measured in their statements, and in doing so they can say "Who are the unreasonable ones? Who are the real bigots in our society"
  17. But it also gave Labour the illusion that they were more popular than they really were up here. All it takes is a 10% swing away from them across most seats and they'll be on the receiving end of a wipe out.
  18. Charles Kennedy is getting on a bit. Predictable SNP xenophobia. These hawkish neo-cons do my head in. Lol, at that Labour woman who said David Cameron may experience wipe out in Scotland. Natalie Bennett is still struggling to come across to the electorate, although I'll admit the audience aren't exactly people who would consider voting for her.
  19. 1. Ocarina of Time 2. Resident Evil 4 (own both the GameCube and Wii version) 3. Panzer Dragoon Saga (Too bad few people will ever get to play this gem) 4. Goldeneye 5. Virtua Fighter 2 (I remember going from playing games like Sonic and Street Fighter on the Mega Drive to playing this)
  20. They've been saying Iran is on the verge of developing a nuclear weapon for the last 30 years. I would have thought they would have figured out that they've yet to make the case.
  21. There is many legitimate criticisms for UKIP, but you're discrediting yourself if you're going doing the lines of trying to associate them with the BNP. When in fact, UKIP are really neo-Thatcherites.
  22. This whole notion that that people sit in dark smoke filled rooms and plot world events is largely a fantasy. That's not to say they never happen like what happened on Jekyll Island in 1910. These secret societies largely came about in the 18th century as the result of debates about philosophy and religion being banned.
  23. Funny how most of the people who are quick to label anyone as a "conspiracy theorist" are not only quick to blame Putin for the assassination of Nemtsov, but are also emphatic that it was him. I'll make my position clear, I'm not sure who did it and why. However, I'm sure that because of the location where it was carried out. It was done with the intention of sending a message. The media on both the NATO and Russian sides were predictable with one saying it was Putin and the other saying it was a foreign plot. I'd rather wait to see what evidence comes out over the coming weeks before drawing any conclusions. There is two problems with that theory about building 7. Firstly, the fact that it fell uniformly down like you see in most demolitions and that it wasn't on fire for very long. Just look at the case where there was an intense fire in a Madrid skyscraper that lasted for 24 hours.
