Already being considered for next season by the club.

That's good news if the club are reconsidering. There was a Tweet a while back from them about the club looking to find them their own area of the stadium. Someone suggested the away section of the Railway Stand and they said they suggested this to the club who said it was a non starter. I'm assuming down to the fact entrance and exit from that part of the ground involves going via the back of the North Stand. No idea if there's access to the away section from round the by the home end.

Presumed it was just them moving themselves in anticipation of a pitch invasion at the end?

Exactly that. My laddie was desperate to sit in amongst them so I got dragged up that part of the stand last night. Never again, they canny sit still. You spend more time standing up to let them past and they don't understand if there's no seats you can't just stand in front of someone in the same row just because your pal is there. But yes they were all talking about trying to invade the pitch at full time hence why they tried to get down the front.

It’s not that I don’t want him around.  He gets another serious injury and that’s him finished. Not the way we want him to end his career. Quite a plain and obvious reason imo.

So you want to get rid of him on a 'what if?' basis?

Who are you signing for the same or lesser cost? If you are signing for a higher cost, where are you cutting?

How much is Nolan's wages? Be very specific.

Plenty of commentators here don’t seem to want him to stay. Assuming his contract is reasonable for this level, I’d prefer we keep him and Nolan(ditto on contract demands)…which doesn’t stop us looking for a third experienced CB to join Masson (come on, IM, sign the lad) as our core 4 CB’s. I think 4 CB is probably the sweet spot for us, although 5 would be tolerable as Masson has shown the ability to play RB as well.

That being said, unless IM expands his small core team vision as a result of this year, I would guess the squad will be:

3 GK, 4 CB, 3 FB, 3 DM, 6 M/AM/W, 3 ST/FW, plus 2-5 additional signings, heavily weighted toward young developmental players (Modern Apprentices if we don’t reform a youth team).

If we're running at further player budget cuts and looking for 'young' players then, assuming Lang, Nolan and Masson extend their contracts, then that might be it at the back. Murray will know he's got Brown and/or Dick (are they signed up?) that can cover CB if need be - not that I'm in favour of that but wouldn't surprise me.

  5. It wasn't just flares that had been smuggled into the ground on Sunday. I went for a pish and there was a couple of empty bottles of Bucky in the toilets as well.

I don't think I've seen a plod at Starks for a run of the mill league game for a while. Think the last time I saw any police prescence was at home to Motherwell of which flares were let off in both the home and away stands. There's a vlog on YouTube of that game from the away end and you can see a Motherwell fan let a flare off right in front of a steward and then throw it on the ground. Did anything happen? no. There's been umpteen incidents this season of flares being let off home and away....stewards just stand and watch. If they wanted to take action it would't be hard. The folk setting them off are holding them aloft for all to see. If anything the stewards are more interested in telling the folk at the back of the stand to sit down than want try to clamp down on the use of flares.

Ultimately if the powers that be within the stadium aren't taking any action then they'll continue to be flares let off. It's all the rage around Scotland for these youngsters who I'm sure aren't of the mindset that they care whether they are illegal or not. Turning up to a stadium pished is meant to be a reason to refuse admission - there were a fair few on Sunday (of middle age) who couldn't string a sentence together or stand upright. Tossing flares bout the stand and general vandalism is stuff I'd like to hope they are old enough to know better. Identifying them might be an issue. I doubt the club have the time, or are willing, to scour CCTV to find the culprits. The broken seats at Starks Park was only known via the fans rep sharing pictures on Twitter. There was nothing cascaded on the official site about this which maybe would have shown the club are taking a stronger stance on things - not everyone is on Twitter to have known about it. However depending on who you believe the seats were apparently not broken 'deliberately' and was down to a couple of them standing on the seats which pulled them away from the very rusted on their last legs brackets. Still silly none the less.

The flare that was thrown at Ibrox actually hit an elderly supporter in the face , The same group that were breaking seats at Falkirk and the same group that were causing grief down the links The same group that damaged our own seats in the south stand which the fans rep shared on Twitter ,  Don’t get me wrong it’s been great that they are supporting the club and backing the team however at the moment there’s an element within that group who are basically ultras out to cause damage and trouble .

Well put your big boy pants on and go and speak to them, folk are quick to put the boot in online but have heehaw cojones to actually either give them an earful or speak to a steward/plod (for as much good as that would do anyway). Whatever's happened at the Falkirk Stadium has only appeared on here, there's been no article shared by either Falkirk or Rovers about any damage, no pictures floating about online. It was on Twitter a few weeks back that the club were trying to speak to some of them regarding arranging a dedicated section for them at Starks. Perhaps they could have a sit down chat with them to remind them of what's acceptable and what's not rather than just tar them all with the same brush and drive, what is essentially the only set of folks that create any form of atmosphere at games, away forever. I don't see flares/smokebombs going away anytime soon, there's been a severe laxed policing to this all over the country as of late and clearly folk are either not being searched or they are easily concealed upon entering the ground. Christ Rangers and Celtic can get in with fooking fireworks ffs.

There is an inherent result from a bigger game(s) of fair weather and uneducated fans attending, and a proportion of those fans will be these kind of shouters and dour b*****ds. They are the same ones that booed the team at the half.

Maybes aye maybes naw. We've got our fair share of booers that turn up week in week out and if things aren't going well let the team and everyone know about it (as frustrating as that is). If anything fairweather fans that turned up for a one off game would probably trudge off at full time with a shrug of the shoulders.

Felt that was one of the problems yesterday, there was an air of " job done" to a certain extent.

Would agree with this. Having came off the back of a 6-1 win and Hamilton losing there was certainly this weird vibe that all we had to do was turn up. You have to wonder if that was filtering through to the players in some way as we never started the game at all and whilst Hamilton didn't put us under any major pressure they seemed more energetic and up for it and got their goal when it mattered. Fair play to Tumilty for not doing what many ex players would do and goad the opposition fans. As expected the 2nd half was one way traffic, for me that was never a red card, but Hamilton were very resiliant and organised. Frustrating afternoon and a big dissapointment.

Have a few pals in the polis who seem to think that there going to be a lot of bother before this. Heavy police presence planned in town and at the ground.

The arsehole contingent of Falkirks support will be out and about probably. Can't imagine they'll be too chuffed at so many Fifers taking over their town.

I know what you’re saying, but RaithTV mentioned he’s been carrying a nick, and he looked in genuine discomfort for a bit after that first save. Playing your best is fine, but if you might lose them for several games by playing them, you have to think it over.

If he was toiling he'd have been hooked at half time.
