Didn't take long to shift them.

Geezo, they only went on sale at midday I believe. Some going. You'd imagine if we got an extended extended allocation we'd probably shift a fair few as well.

So we're looking at just shy of 4000 Rovers fans watching Zanatta score a last minute winner, assisted by Tumilty, at our end of the ground as he knee dives in front of us....

To be honest I suspect this will end up being just about enough and the rest of the argument is needless. I’m pretty surprised by the numbers we’re taking.

Hamilton are entitled to half the ground, it’s a cup final. The SPFL should probably have told both clubs to either sell one stand at a time, or to sell the Main Stand from the end sections in. But we weren’t exactly looking at an Old Firm at Hampden scenario where we’d snap up thousands of unused tickets. Lessons learned, you’d hope, and presumably any Rovers fans locked out will be be in the double figures at an absolute maximum.

Agree with this, particulary the bit in bold. I think it just goes to show how detached some of the fans were in the lead up to the final last year in light of 'you know who'. Essentially we're 1000+ fans up from that final during a difficult financial period for a lot of people. Fair fucks to everyone. Hope it's a cracking day for everyone, particular the youngsters who have another chance to create memories. Diddy cup or not it was heartwarming to see the reaction of the younger generation of fans seeing their local club lift a cup last year and I hope they get the chance to see it again.

Hamilton needs to join the twenty-first century and offer online purchase of tickets, and one week out, tickets should be offered openly for unsold sections, and the ticket sales plan should have mostly filled congruent sections before moving onto making new areas available. At TFS, selling the ends completely to one teams fans, and then allowing spillover demand into a section at a time in the main stand isn’t ideal, but it works.

Considering the rest of your paragraph is in relation to the cup final I'm confused by the highlighted part in bold. We didn't offer online ticket purchases either for this game.

  4. If both stands were options to choose tickets for when tickets went on sale (which I'm led to believe they were) - and using the main stand as an example - then offering tickets for both fans starting at blocks at the far end and working towards the middle would be the more logical idea with any left over empty sections being freed up for additional ticket sales if there was demand for it for either fan base. Maybe that's how it's worked? As it stands we have no idea how many of these additional tickets we've been given - 100, 500...50?? Either way hopefully everyone that needs/wants a ticket gets one. It's mental to think in an 8000 capacity stadium there is potentially fans that could miss out.

Hamilton's telephone sales (which involves emailing someone for them to call you back to get your payment details) stops on 21st March as they are only offering tickets being posted out using this method should give a decent indication on what their sales will look like. They'll still be looking to shift some tickets on Saturday but only AFTER their game. Imagine going to the game with the intention of buying a ticket and getting horsed (hypothetical) to then decide 'f**k that, am no gawn after that performance'.

I’m Main Stand too. I didn’t ask for a specific stand and that was the stand I was given.

I'm wondering if the stand behind the goals is sold out. When I called for tickets they asked what stand I wanted (I plumped for behind the goals) then said they can only offer sections that have availability (duh) which was block C. By evening they were onto block D with only D and E remaining.

    Same.

Never thought I'd see the day a McGlynn side losing at EEP would have me smirking, but here we are.

He's not exactly got a good record in the playoffs either if Falkirk fans are pinning their hopes on going up that way. Wouldn't surprise me if Falkirk start to toil between now and the end of the season after last nights result, can imagine it'll have knocked the stuffing out of them. Good, f**k them.

Given Kdy and Dunfermline are similar in size and that the Pars have been underachieving for a number of years now, the fact they still manage to pull in 7,000 home fans for a midweek league one game is remarkable. What are they doing that we aren’t? We would be lucky to pull in half of that for a big game.

The fixture in question plays a part, they should be questioning where these fans are every week. On another note see McGlynn has shat the bed again at East End Park.

  8. Last time I was at Ibrox to see the Rovers was back when we were in the Prem and we were sitting where their main singing section sit just now with an empty seat beside us and a bit of tape separating the fans. As a 9 year old I have abiding memories of their arsehole support so I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to take my son there....and there's no way he'll let me go without him 😆. If push comes to shove I'll save myself for the semi final.
