  1. He took over a bit of a basket case, and assembled a decent squad. We got to two cup semi finals and had our highest league finish since the 80s under him. You might think he should've played differently or got us a bit further in a cup and/or the league. But by any measure he was a good manager for us.
  2. Bit of perspective I suppose. It's tight in the middle there though. Hearts, Livingston and St Mirren all have games in hand.
  3. If we win on Saturday, then he's on borrowed time. His changes allowed Rangers back into the game but his players need to take a look at themselves too. The defence and goalkeeper had a hand in all of Rangers' goals.
  4. Aberdeen are dropping far too deep. They had Rangers on the ropes.
  5. I actually agreed with Boyd at half time (quite the shock for me). It shouldn't be a penalty but we've gone through a phase where they were all given. I fully expect that phase to start again when it isn't Rangers on the receiving end.
  6. One of the reasons the world cup has been great to watch is that, mostly, the refs have let a lot go and not given out yellow cards for soft fouls. 20 odd mins in and Collum has given 3 cards, 2 for a tiny push and one for something that didn't even look like a foul.
  7. I'm guessing someone already has. Given what Cowan said about needing to he 100% accurate before making an accusation about racism (I'm not sure that's how accusations work, but anyway) we'd be forgiven for believing that he thinks the accusation of racism is as bad as the racism itself. If someone was to privately explain to him, I'm not convinced he'd be that open to the idea he'd done anything wrong. I don't know the man, so I'm maybe being unfair. I was disappointed with Cosgrove over all this. Surely he sees the issue and would have wanted to challenge it on air?
  8. He's never come across that way to me. I've always thought him a pretty decent guy, he's done a lot to help raise money for worthy causes. Maybe the reason for the odd attack on Bartley was because of Eilidh Barbour. To be honest that makes it even stranger for me. He's not a stupid guy, why get involved in something as sensitive as that because you don't like someone's other half?
  9. Yes is the short answer. Michael Stewart's patter after the Kamara incident against Slavia (Sparta?) Prague was moved on from very quickly. After Anton and Rio Ferdinand called him out he somehow managed to make himself out to be the victim. Then we never heard about it again. What I don't get about Cowan's response is the way he went after Bartley. It was bizarre.
  10. Kamala, Sands, and McGregor should've all been booked in the first half. Then Strain gets booked about 65 mins for taking too long at a throw. Laughable. We'll get the patronising pat on the head for winning a point today, but we should've won. Rangers were only ever scoring if they got a penalty.
  11. 5 mins went up on the board and we're trying to run down the clock in the corner. We had an extra man and should've been able to keep possession. Really poor game management.
  12. We probably deserved that for the daft time wasting. 5 mins to play and holding it in the corner, then O'Hara and Tanser getting utterly daft, pointless bookings. What I would question is why there were 2 mins additional time in the first half yet 5 put up in the second, plus another minute on top for our time wasting. Seemed to me that the play was stopped for longer in the first half than the second.
  13. Presumably Carson's yellow for saying it should be a red gets rescinded?
  14. It would have been checked. Gallagher looked pretty adamant but I didn't really see it
  15. You've missed his point. That there was a handball from a St Johnstone player in the build up that wasn't given. If St Johnstone score, that gets reviewed. Instead the review is only of Tanser's.
  16. It was par for the course for our away form. We've got Henderson who's a winger, I'd like to see more of him as he's a good player. The system we play has wing backs, we maybe need to look at that away from home. I don't think the system was the reason we lost though, we conceded goals because we didn't stop crosses and weren't tight enough to our men. Gallagher has been a great signing, he wasn't the worst yesterday but he looked like he wasn't 100%.
  17. Ross County thoroughly deserved their win but they weren't great. All three of their goals were preventable. It baffles me how we can go from pretty solid at home to shipping 3 and 4 goals every away game. Ross County had scored 7 goals before yesterday.
  18. No complaints at the result, Ross County were the better side. We were lucky to go in leading at half time. Ironically I thought the first 10 mins of the second half was our most comfortable spell. Two really cheap goals given away and that was that.
  19. Presumably John Hartson will be saying that Livingston were against both Celtic and VAR today.
  20. The ball is hit at him from a few yards and it seemed as if he was trying to pull his arm out the way. I think it was a penalty but I can see why folk might question it. There's always going to be a debate around handballs I suppose.
  21. We might as well have stayed in the dressing room at half time. Fair play to Hibs, miles better. As good as we've been at home, we've been rotten away. I can't really think of a reason why either. We don't appear to approach games any differently. Individual errors cost us at least one goal today. The second goal, Ayunga just runs into the Hibs defender and gives the ball away, Shaugnessy gets sucked into the ball, then Gogic should just put it out the park but gets easily brushed aside. We never tested Marshall at all in the second half. He looked a bit shaky from cross balls and we didn't put enough pressure on him.
  22. I reckon the penalty is one that is given more often than not but Tait is unlucky, the ball is hit from a few yards and he's trying to turn his back. It's been a decent game, Hibs probably just shaded it but both teams have had chances. Hibs offside goal looked very tight.
