  1. I'd keep McAllister for the simple reason that he has something a bit different to the rest of the squad. He's hot and cold (definitely more cold recently) but I can't think of another player we have that, on his day, can beat players and carve open chances. Erwin, Dennis, Main (although, as said, he's on a 2 year deal) can all leave. I'd bring back Jamieson from Inverness to replace them if we can't get anyone else in. McGrath could well go if the money is right.
  2. Is Main not on a 2 year deal? Someone would have to offer him a decent deal to move. I'd be surprised if he goes.
  3. Rangers are a good side, I'm not going to be disappointed if we get beat here, but at least make them work for it. The defending at both goals was pathetic.
  4. I got the impression from Goodwin's interview that it was the league that said they couldn't come back, rather than the club making a financial decision.
  5. Could be, I've no idea. I'm just repeating what Goodwin said last night.
  6. What got me with that was the fact that the league changed the rules on bringing back loan players, but only for the boys in the lowland league. We weren't allowed to recall Lewis Jamieson from ICT, who would've almost certainly started if he'd been back, Daniel Finlayson from Kelty, or Cammy Macpherson (although I think he's injured) from St Johnstone. Seemed like they were making the rules up as they went along.
  7. We've drawn 10 games. The teams with the second most draws have 6.
  8. Aye, because that's exactly the same! 8 players who featured for Celtic tonight have international caps. We had to bring back 6 teenagers from lowland league clubs, who'd never met the first team so we could make up a squad.
  9. 6 mins stoppage time. f**k me Had to recall 6 teenagers on loan in the lowland league so we'd have a team. Celtic had 8 internationalists.
  10. Brexit limits all clubs' market for players, so possibly more clubs in Scotland and England will be looking in Ireland.
  11. Aye, I agree. I don't think any of them are up to it. I have some sympathy with Main, he was very isolated up on his own but he wasn't even able to make a nuisance of himself. McGregor cruised it against him.
  12. Yeah, they weren't great and I'm happy we salvaged something. Feel it papers over the cracks a bit. Shaughnessy and Alnwick played well but other than that. Reckon we need a few decent players in in January.
  13. Can't agree that we deserved a draw. I thought we were absolutely shite.
  14. We deserved nothing there. There's a few players who are absolutely miles off it.
  15. We are awful. Haven't asked one single question of Hibs.
  16. Hibs the better side here but it's not been a classic. The conditions are pretty wild. As has been said, there's bound to be a red card here. Power, Porteous, Cadden, Flynn all booked for their first fouls. Flynn's was probably fair enough, thought the others were harsh.
  17. I never really got the animosity towards Ross. He did fantastically well in his stint for us. He then got offered a bigger job with a considerably bigger salary. You need to take these jobs when they come along.
  18. No doubt we need to add to the squad. A striker, centre half, some more players that can play wing back. My issue isn't so much that Goodwin likes 352 but more than there doesn't seem to be any plan b. Glass said before the game that they'd get at us down the wings, they're up 2-0 within 10 mins. Change it. Go to four at the back and ask a question of Aberdeen. We seem incapable of changing shape when we're under pressure.
