  1. We deserved nothing there. There's a few players who are absolutely miles off it.
  2. We are awful. Haven't asked one single question of Hibs.
  3. Hibs the better side here but it's not been a classic. The conditions are pretty wild. As has been said, there's bound to be a red card here. Power, Porteous, Cadden, Flynn all booked for their first fouls. Flynn's was probably fair enough, thought the others were harsh.
  4. I never really got the animosity towards Ross. He did fantastically well in his stint for us. He then got offered a bigger job with a considerably bigger salary. You need to take these jobs when they come along.
  5. No doubt we need to add to the squad. A striker, centre half, some more players that can play wing back. My issue isn't so much that Goodwin likes 352 but more than there doesn't seem to be any plan b. Glass said before the game that they'd get at us down the wings, they're up 2-0 within 10 mins. Change it. Go to four at the back and ask a question of Aberdeen. We seem incapable of changing shape when we're under pressure.
  6. We are murder. Aberdeen have our number, they've completely taken advantage of our 3 at the back. And we've not dealt with any time they've pressed. We really need a plan b. Thought a foul could've been given at the first goal as there was a push on Millar. Millar needs to be tighter though.
  7. Any sort of tempo from the opposition and we are all over the place.
  8. Obika is much better than Main, Erwin or Dennis. Maybe if Dennis got a run in the team he might find some form but it's difficult to give someone a run of games when they're not doing the business. I think the loan market will be our best bet for a decent striker. Can't see many semi prolific strikers being allowed to leave clubs in January.
  9. All the teams below us have a game in hand as well, you'd imagine some of them will pick points up there. Taking 2 points from 3 home games against Dundee, Livingston and County does not bode well.
  10. We're a frustrating team to watch. At times we look that we're not far away from a reasonable side and other times we look rotten. McGrath is the only player with any real guile, other than him it's hard to see where we get goals. Other than maybe a special strike from distance from Brophy/Ronan. Main huffs and puffs but I'm not convinced. He gives away more fouls than anything. Thought Dunne played well. Hungbo, Paton and Samuel looked OK for County.
  11. I'd give the credit for that to Hungbo. He looks a difficult player to play against.
  12. What an embarrassment from Cancola. How Dunne gets a yellow there is beyond me.
  13. I can see why you'd say that but we're were rotten at home to Dundee and Livingston and our best performances have come away from home. Hearts aren't having their best spell either. We completely outplayed Motherwell (albeit only getting a draw) yet last week they deservedly turned Hearts over. Hearts on their day are a good side but I wouldn't write of our chances of taking something.
  14. There's definitely something in what you say. The excitement is the drug. I'm not sure anything will ever compare to the 3-2 game at Fir Park in 2007. I also think that the season we nearly went down to league one, the crowds were decent because we got rid of Rae early doors and people could see Jack Ross was making progress and bringing in young players. Had they stuck with Rae for a few more months you might have seen the crowds slip a bit. Edit: likewise with Stubbs/Kearney.
  15. Both teams have had wee spells where they've passed the ball quite well but it's mostly been scrappy with a lot of niggly fouls. Livingston have had a couple of decent chances, whereas we've not really tested Stryjek.
  16. I'd agree with this, I'd probably add McAllister to that list as well, he's in and out and can be a bit of an enigma but he offers something different to what we've got. Wouldn't mind seeing Tait and Flynn signing new deals as well. Neither ever lets us down.
  17. From an outsider looking in, it seems that St Johnstone often have either a slow start or a bit of a form slump before going on to really hit form later in the season. I wouldn't be at all worried if I was a St Johnstone fan. Your point about winning the double and still ending up with a weaker squad, is a fair one but was it realistic to replace McCann and Kerr with better players? We had our best league season in 20 years last season but we'll never be able to replace McGrath with a player of similar quality when he leaves.
  18. It was as clear a yellow card as you'll see. No idea what he was complaining about.
  19. Must be carrying a knock Edit: Goodwin says he's not trained this week due to being ill.
  20. I enjoyed him telling the Dundee keeper to stop wasting time in the first half, then adding on 0 seconds of stoppage.
