  1. He's niggly and moany and loves a dive but I certainly don't hate him. What does get me though is that everyone can see that he's diving, Lee Mair calls it 'using his experience', a Dundee fan earlier on the thread says it's 'clever', yet Beaton bought it every time.
  2. No complaints with the result. Dundee were worthy winners. They pressed us well and caused us problems. Kerr was particularly good. Disappointing that we didn't ask any questions of a defence that just shipped 5 goals. Other than a wee spell at the beginning of the second half we really lacked urgency. Maybe a few players struggling to play 3 games in 6 days.
  3. He's been poor for both teams today. Genuinely isn't letting the game flow. Totally agree. I'm not blaming him for the scoreline.
  4. Beaton actually pointed to his shoulder when Brophy was fouled, as if that makes any difference. He's a terrible referee.
  5. Dundee are worth their lead, we'll taken goal but again I think we were slack defensively. Dundee midfielder with acres of space. Kerr hasn't given Tanser a sniff, probably his poorest performance for us so far. Fair play to Dundee though, they've been better than us.
  6. I'm with you that I don't think it should have been retaken, but your pictures aren't cast iron proof here. The first is inconclusive wither his right foot is touching the line or not (I'll grant you it appears that way) and in the second picture Brophy hasn't struck the ball yet. I've got a feeling we'll see more decisions like this as it's being tightened up on. It makes it much harder for the keeper, which I don't think is a good thing.
  7. Funny how we see things differently. I agree it was a 50/50 but I thought it was pretty clear than O'Donnell held Brophy on the ground.
  8. Motherwell will be disappointed not to hold on to a 2 goal lead but let's be honest it's a travesty that we've not won that. That was our most dominant performance this season.
  9. Fair play to Watt, clinical. That first half is as comfortable as I've seen us this season but other than a couple of shots from distance we never threatened.
  10. I find the no celebrating thing a bit trite. It might stick in your craw if they were trying to get it right up you but players should be free to celebrate if they score.
  11. I thought Inverness was an odd move for him as it was always going to be difficult to hold down a regular spot with McKay, Duku and Sutherland there. Good to see he's been given a chance and looks to have done well in the games he's played. I'd hope working with Dodds, and McKay as well, would be good for his development.
  12. Martindale should fine him a weeks wages for that patter. He came back on and ran about loads as well.
  13. About as much difference as us playing with 10 men would've had when Brophy went off with a head knock.
  14. The red card changes the game as Aberdeen were comfortable before that, but as soon as the equaliser went in there was only one winner. If anything it should've been more comfortable than a 1 goal victory. Defensively Aberdeen were really poor but get Gallagher and Considine back and that should sort that. Their discipline was terrible too, Hayes was lucky not to be off and how Bates managed to go the game without getting booked only Willie Collum knows. Ronan and McGrath were excellent for us. Main made a difference when he came on too and McAllister looked lively. Hopefully we can build on this now. The next couple of games are tricky away ties but ones we should be looking to pick up points from.
