  1. Still raging at Hamilton's epic cluster f**k but reading this has cheered me up a bit... https://mobile.twitter.com/Fyviesque/status/1026178274039353345 (twitter thread of utds decline - pre Armstrong and GMS getting sold through til now)
  2. Not for that much anyway - is that not more than we'd have paid for Bonne? See Ludo has posted we've offered 100k
  3. Bound to be a wind up but if he could keep up the scoring record then I think he could be a cracking signing. Knowing us though he'll be another Fais and we'll loan him back next season...
  4. Meh, never claimed it was clever but I've never seen you post a single positive comment about the team, board or manager(s). So much so, I'd say you're either a DAB troll, need some help dealing with your issues or you just maybe need to 'support' a different team... I'm not being a happy clapper either, coz yeah I'd have rather we pumped Brechin and our strikers were on fire - but as others have already said we dominated the game, scored 2 against a team determined not to get thumped again and qualified.
  5. Ftfy - I'd say he was a glass half empty kind of guy but that doesn't even come close
  6. Yeah I was taking the piss a bit, we did technically have players who should have been able to make a difference (El Bak, Moose etc) but for whatever reason they rarely did. I'm actually hoping we'll see Lambert and Scott at some point but I'd be much happier seeing us bringing the youngsters in for these matches if it was through choice rather than coz we've no one else fit + Totally agree we need a few quality signings before St Mirren tho!
  7. Tbf even with the bloated squad we had last year we didn't really have anyone on the bench that could turn a game either...
  8. Squad for today - no Moussa so I'm guessing it's Wighton and Mendy up top for this one?
  9. yeah LB required as well as at least 1 striker. 2 preferably. other wise we are best 3-5-2 with deacon RWB and cammy LWB. not ideal though. I actually think Ralph would be better suited to playing as a wing back in a 3-5-2 going by his YouTube clip and the comments about him when he signed. Not got anything more to base it on but he looks more comfortable going forward and getting crosses in on his video than he did the other night playing as part of a back 4
  10. Definitely top trolling of the Dayglos by the club
  11. Just spotted a St Mirren fan saying on the Fermers thread that they are rumoured to be after Stewart... I know I said he'd not come back but I'd be gutted if he ended up in Paisley
  12. That's just what I was thinking + even Lockwood left 4 years ago... See Partick have got the guy Melbourne on loan from WBA that was with County last season. I know County were pish but he was one player who I thought might have been worth going after from the little I saw of him. Hopefully one of the players McCann is chasing is a decent LB coz he must realise we need more cover than Cammy
  13. That and him being part of Bain's wee crew makes it unlikely I think
  14. Thats what I'm hoping anyway - either the guy from Orient (Macauley Bonne) or McCann maybe has someone else in mind. Either way we need at least one striker in as it is and two if Haber is away/never going to get a game.
  15. Haha, they might not be that far off the mark then but I'm going by the commentary on ours - even with the dark blue tinted specs on though we're not causing them enough problems...
  16. Think those stats are a bit suspect - Madianga has had a couple of shots, Caulkers pinged a header wide and Moussa had a looping header saved + Ngwatala has sent what feels like a million corners sailing over everyone... They've had a fair few chances themselves though with Parish making a few saves and Curran clearing from 2yds out
  17. I'm still not sure if he was or not - could be we didn't play him to his strengths but he definitely got enough chances to prove himself... (that's him just got his 2nd now) + Yeah I'm still hopeful the team will settle and make an impact but like you say, there's too many short negative passes that gives the opposition a chance to close us down. Hope McCann can get them going more direct 2nd half coz we've still given them way too many chances.
  18. Yeah, I have to admit I thought he was finished after his last few seasons, but looks like he might do a job for Motherwell... Here's hoping Haber plays a blinder tonight and gives us another option up top coz he's imho a better player than Sammon when he wants to be!
  19. It is better - Mendy and Ngwatala are both looking a lot more like the players we hoped they were but it's still a hard one to watch!
  20. This^^^ It is still early days yet but Parish must be gutted to get binned in favour of Hamilton when he's as flaky as that. & I've still got high hopes for Ralph but he's not exactly had an auspicious home start. Wouldn't say he was much worse than a lot of them but that's not saying much coz they all look ponderous, static and a lot less hungry for the win than Dunfermline...
