What was the issue beforehand that couldn't get this moved on quicker? As far as I know it was held up by the access issues. The rest of the delay is just it going through planning/building control - I've not heard how far along it is tho -

No confirmation on the Kamara deal anywhere yet so might not be able to sort any other big wage deal just yet? -

It's a good picture! Might need to change mine, if the three of us all have the same one tho -

As far as I know the housing and crematorium need to be reviewed a bit further than the original plans due to it not fitting the land use proposed for the site. I have heard the council had knocked back a previous housing development on the North of the site before so I assume they will have concerns about access, noise etc but these can all be ironed out usually. As for the crematorium there is a need for another one (Dundee has one of the the highest prices to get cremated in Scotland) but there is a council review going on about locations/pricing with regards to that so it's maybe been slowed down by that too. Eta - don't know about the transport link but I had heard a rumour that they'd sorted that with Bear/Transport Scotland... Might just be a rumour tho. I'd guess it's maybe also been slowed down by the club coz it'd be a bit mental building a new bigger stadium if we are still looking at the drop since there would be an extra outlay of cash required to get us back up if we did. -

He was investigated but got off with it I think - apparently went to Dubai after he was declared bankrupt here to start over... The Dubai company was opened in his wife's name which didn't end well since it got her arrested when it went tits up and he legged it without paying his bills. (according to the P&J article I found when I had a look earlier anyway) -

He was made Bankrupt last year but he seems pretty good at dodging going under completely so I'd not be too surprised if he's managed to scam his way into something else. No idea what though but someone else might be more itk than me -

Sorry Tam, not this time, the man you want is C. Melville, Aberdeen. Last known to be residing in Dubai, if his latest dodgy financial deals haven't got him killed, arrested or meant he's had to escape the country... Edit to add - it's option 3 apparently... https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/scotland/403705/businessman-calum-melville-forced-home-dubai-dream-dies/ -

Would be bonkers given it was us that broke him with his half daft antics in the tunnel and barging into the refs room. Can't see it happening but I've been wrong before! -

^This would make a lot of sense to me. I think McCann has lost the Team and Fans support so he's probably still got to go, but Nelms and Keyes are maybe needing a 'football man' on the board or to advise the board since they are self confessed hobbyists effectively. -

Big Rab is quoted in the Sun as saying he thinks McCann will get sacked if we lose to Hibs (bbc gossip). Hope he knows something and he's not just speculating like the rest of us... -

Other than Moussa and Hamilton (both clearly shite) I don't think we can even properly judge the players he has brought in yet - the tombola tactics and team selection has players who looked decent playing pish so I'd want a new guy in before we panic buy anyone else -

I'm hoping we see Parish in for the foreseeable future coz I'd rather have Soapy or big Kelvin in the goal than Hamilton. Tbh I'd rather we gave Geddes the gloves than Hamilton at the moment. -

I'd have hoped it wouldn't cost as much either (I've always wanted to see us redevelop Dens) but I think between the difficulties of working with a listed building in the main stand and the heavy engineering works that would come with building a proper modern stand and facilities on the Derry it might not be far off... -

I'm not so sure it would cost more to build a new stadium Ludo, it's usually pretty expensive to redevelop an existing site since there's a lot of existing infrastructure and old architecture to work around + I'm sure it's been mentioned before that the ground under Dens is an issue too... -

Fair do's man, I'm just going by what I heard after the public consultation. I'd agree that having a complete bowl would probably be better but I was pretty sure the club had said they were going with a more standard 4 stand layout. I can't find anything online tho so I could easily be wrong and it was maybe just something I heard in the pub! In terms of a safe standing area, I was thinking would it not be possible to have the lower 'flatter' rows of one stand be turned into a terrace? No idea how practical it'd be, but having a whole side of the pitch for standing would give us plenty of space for a Derry Rhumba (or Conga) -

I've no idea what they're planning now tbh but there was definitely talk about ditching the corners from the original design - I think the cost wasn't thought to be worth it for the amount of seats we'd get... That also puts the safe standing idea in doubt too, coz the original idea for that was to use one of the corners. -

There's the existing bus links to the camperdown leisure park too - not sure what number of bus it is but they're fairly regular. I'd imagine that's been part of any discussion with the council over the last couple of years tho as they won't want to miss out on the cash thousands of fans will bring to the city centre pubs/restaurants. Apparently the formal application is away to be submitted so I guess there will be access statements amongst all the detailed information and drawings...
