  1. We had him on trial earlier this Summer but (obviously) decided against him. Seems like one of those strikers who drifts towards the left wing
  2. Chile had 16 shots during the match. Can you really class them failing to score from one of them as good defending?
  3. Any truth to the rumour Lennon only wants one striker in as he sees Murray and Boyle as adequate backup?
  4. Hes up there to finalise the details over the weekend. Everything with Preston is agreed.
  5. Was Russell ever a viable option? Surely he'd require compensation or a fee? Fwiw he only signed a one year deal this Summer, so will be available again next summer, but again, will require compensation
  6. Better than nothing I suppose, he'll give us back up at left back on a low wage. That's about all you can say about this deal. Thought we'd maybe decided against it when Easton was declared fit but there you go.
  7. Only foreign Hibees I remember thinking were class were Zemmama and Benjelloun
  8. You're not getting £100k for a 24yo centre half whose never played higher than the Championship, not up front anyway
  9. Why are Rangers fans in a huge huff about you rejecting offers for McLean? More than a few suggesting it's a conspiracy that you'll sell to Celtic and not them, seemingly failing to understand the difference between a £1.3m+Christie deal, and a £300k in three installments deal. Keep up the good work, lads.
  10. He was brilliant in the Semi at Ibrox aswell, and was a big part of the cup winning team. Folk seem to have rewritten his early time with us as they compare it to the truly spectacular spell at the end.
  11. We had a 20% sell on fee for May, which is why Preston paid £1m for him (Wednesday recouped their £800k, and we got our share). The O'Halloran transfer was also meant to be in installments/clauses but I can't remember ever seeing what they were (apart from Agent Scotland spouting pish)
  12. We werent. The manager has publicly spoken about how annoyed he is Scobbie has left. We needed a replacement for Swanson. Scougall was the best option. To afford Scougalls wage we needed to cut elsewhere. Scobbie was identified by the chairman as the obvious candidate so offered him a reduced basic wage with high appearance bonuses as stats show Scobbie is third choice centre half. Scobbie was offered a higher basic wage, and longer contract, by United so chose that and regular starts over the rotational role he had with us.
  13. A pay cut to his basic wage, but appearance bonuses would make it equal to what he used to earn
  14. Yup. He was injured for three months of the season though. He played 8 of our last 10 matches, and we only conceded six goals in that time.
  15. Scobbie was comfortably playing for the team who finished fourth last season, and we offered him a new deal. He'd walk into any Championship defence easily
  16. He's pure pace and little else. But that's exactly what we need.
  17. I like the theory that the Universe expands to a point, then starts contracting again, before it gets so small it reaches singularity and explodes into a new universe all over again. Repeat forever. I sometimes wonder if you always have the same "life" every time, which is why you get deja vu, and why you can instantly regret a decision as you know fro previous experience it's the wrong one.
  18. Aye, this Tanser is still on trial though, so maybe have no interest in McNaughton. Can't see his wages being lower than Scobbies. And I wonder who the other two of the three attackers wrote after are. MOH is confirmed as one. Hoping it's Storey from Aberdeen. What a Summer that would be.
  19. Keith Watsons been left out our Euro Squad as we try and get him sold. If you lot could come in and take him off our books it would be much appreciated
