  1. Scobbie joined us a left back, but pretty much only played centre half for us the majority of his time with us
  2. TW shouldn't be spending the budget on back up players like Mannus and Millar, who can only play one position then. You'll likely find they agreed if Watson and Coulson were punted, he could keep Scobbie and Scougall. If not he'd have to decide between them. It was TW who was desperate for those two last season.
  3. Unofficial Twitter quoting TW as blaming Steve Brown for losing Scobbie. Claiming Scobbie was willing to take a paycut to stay but Brown wanted him off the books. I still struggle to feel too much sympathy for TW in these situations tbh, he signs a raft of shite constantly. Maybe if we'd only given Watson and Coulson one year deals we wouldn't be stuck with them, and the wages would've been there to keep Scobbie.
  4. Is it an outright left back or can they play centres half too? Ideally we'd get the same as Tam, but I struggle to think of anyone who'll be similar
  5. You can yes, can add one player up until 24 hours before the first leg. As long as your squad is below 25 players and will still comply with the regulations (home grown players etc)
  6. We're desperate to sign an experienced left back before Monday, the options are pretty slim, so a left back who's played at our level regularly over the years, would be free and is available quickly is probably the best option. Especially since he'd likely be happy to sit behind Easton in the pecking order
  7. This, the initial fee was trebled on May within 12 months. If O'Halloran leaves Rangers we should earn multiples of the initial fee aswell. One good season down south could see Lindsay being a £5-6m player next summer. A 30% sell on fee from £6m is £1.8m, so the whole deal for Lindsay would be £2.1m. Say there's a £200k fee for him earning a cap, that's £2.3m. Yet folk would still rather see £1m initial payment with no clauses..
  8. Fairly sure MacLean was injured for a huge swathe of that season
  9. He's the same height as Swanson. This "trolling", about someone who's coped with the physicality of English football, is just awful.
  10. Clark, Shaughnessy, Alston and Scougall. The beginnings of a good young team. If Jason Kerr could live up to his potential then add him in. And if Kane can step up then that's six under 25s. Nice to see TW is planning for the future, something we've been guilty of neglecting in the past.
  11. She thanks you for the prayers, but she doesn't really understand. She soon will..
  12. Fairly sure it's Radford tbh, so be careful or he'll delete this thread. I've still to hunt for when I first mentioned Scougall
  13. Hope he does well, has the arrogance to cope with that level so it's just about taking his chance now.
  14. Allan doesn't fit into our team at all, he can literally only play behind the striker in a midfield five, or a diamond. Scougall is more versatile, and works harder. Honestly, I've no idea how either with do, as both are completely untested at this level. I suspect both sets of fans are going to have a fucking great time watching them though.
  15. Yeah, strange to understand why Hearts fans are getting upset at your club making multiple offers far below their valuation of a contracted player. A real head scratcher.
