David Goodwillie anyone?

What basis are you using for this? I am not confident that we will be spunking a load of cash, but equally I think its a bit early to be throwing about this sort of patter
A conversation I had with someone post match that seems to know what's what.
I fully expect the team to be a bit more "youthful" next season. Wouldn't be shocked to see Maybury in & Houstie into the directors box tbh.0 -
I'll say it again and also put it a different way maybe you will understand.
Player's accept the level they are playing at, perhaps some not good enough for this level hence the result.
You cannot put it down to mentality every single season.
Next season Falkirk will be expected to win the championship, that will create pressure almost immediately.
Like I said recruitment has to be right or I'm afraid by February you will be on about the mentality factor yet again.
Player's with hunger win games, last night proved that.
We won't win the league next season, sounds like we will be budgeting for 4th & hoping for the best.0 -
Feel as bad this morning as I did last night. We needed to go up.
We'll lose 5/6 players in the summer and replace them with kids who've barely played as Houstie was banking on this squad taking us up. There's no cash & with ST prices going up we'll have less than the 3000+ this year I reckon. Wouldn't be surprised to see it reduce by at least 500.
Watch us announce a couple of players signing back on in the coming days that won't go down well too.
Football can feck off till July.0 -
600 tickets still left at 12.30. So much for the knicker wetters.
ST holders only today remember, rest will go on Monday I reckon.0 -
I heard Kerr was retiring
Hadn't heard that, had heard about McCracken retiring though.0 -
Cheers.
I do hope that if we do stay up, that he may end up back at Starks which was rumoured back in January. If we go down, there's not a chance in that happening though.
I heard west towards Paisley.0 -
Do you think, you'll offer him another contract if you were to stay down or is his time up with you guys?
I think he's heading to another championship team along with Kerr.0 -
Inverness increased their season tickets base from 700 to 900 the season after winning the cup. Says it all.

Over 3000 tickets sold in first 3 days of sales to season ticket holders for second leg of semi play off. Can't believe though that 550 season ticket holders didn't buy their existing ticket/seat for the South stand. That must be a large percentage?
With each ST holder able to buy multiple though, they may have bought extra tickets match that are actually going to ST holders. I know we did. Probably a fair few in that boat.0 -
Fair play to her for thinking to ask BSLM. I'd have maybe gave a bit up for charity seeing as he did it for her but that's just me. Good bit of cash to win though.

4,700 attendance today. Which is the same crowd announced at our last home game v St Mirren with 1300 LESS away fans today and a similar sized home support......[emoji848]

No idea Rosco. You could right and it could join up the strategy. However Kim Jun Un is moreover transparent than the regime at FFC so who knows.
I have no ill will to the lad who has the role. By all accounts he has turned the Foundation around. If he can do that with the club great. Good luck to him though working with the Cookoo Nest.
Agree with every word mate.0 -
We are a business turning over c£2m. It shows how ineffectual and lazy our directors are that we need this role costing who knows 60k?
We had a Director doing this role for free until he left because of Henderson.
The shareholders should be demanding to see how this expense will be measured in terms of a return on this investment as it won't be. It is simple been created to make life in the Boardroom easier again.
Assume his salary is split between the club & the Foundation?
Could this be seen also as a link between both parties for the rumoured large project on the horizon? I.E the East stand.
Don't disagree that it's also a help for the BOD and a sad state of affairs when RB done such a good job for no salary.0 -
If we were in the premiership, you'd find we would probably jump a place or 2 with the increase in away fans & the increase to the home support also.

I don't have a problem with playing Kerr tbh. I actually thought he was better than Taiwo on Saturday.
But please, please don't play them together in the same team Peter. Especially at home
There was absolutely no way Kerr was better than Taiwo on Saturday.0 -
With respect they have been talking about a "new ticketing system" since George Craig was there. I will believe it when I see it
Maybe the new system is that you get your ticket with a smile now since Carol left?0 -
Other than the 10 extra tickets limit I don't see any issues with the communication or how they plan to sell to be honest.
I'd love to be able to just add the game to my ST card & that facility does currently exist but for whatever reason they don't want to use that currently.0 -
I would think part of their thinking would that if the ST's are buying more than just their ticket then there wont be the same issues with huge queues if it gets to that.
There wont be many who go regularly who wont know a ST holder I would imagine.
Whatever they do there will be complaints.
One thing that is just so 1980's is CASH ONLY. FFS these machines cost hehaw to only have one is ridiculous and if someone is paying by debit card the charges are tiny. They could easily have added a levy for CC payment.
Agreed.0 -
Surely other clubs would want every seat filled/as much cash as possible though? Even Dundee would struggle to sell out more than three sides of their ground
A couple of years ago Motherwell gave Sevco 1100 tickets as that's all they got at Ibrox. The remainder of the big away stand at Fir Park lay empty.0 -
What about opening half the North Stand to home supporters as well?
Perfectly reasonable to give 1,000 tickets to the away support imo
Sounds good in theory until the other team reciprocate at their match and we barely get any tickets.0 -
Unless I'm missing something, the comms says ST holders seats are guaranteed during the ST sale? 10 additional seems excessive but each of the 3000 ST holders will get one.
If I was a non ST holder and knew no one with a ST I may be worried though.0 -
Good to hear 're the east stand.
I think that's where we'd buy our season tickets. Nearest the car and at least is gets some sun! Freezing again yesterday in the main stand despite the sun shining
I'd move to the East stand also. That's where we stood at Brockville (shed) and it'd be a like for like view.0 -
I was working at the stadium yesterday so went in all the stands and got to say, it's a cracking new stadium that could be rocking with the right crowd.
It has done on a good few occasions yeah. St Mirren fans were great yesterday (in terms of noise) but on our day our fans can be an extra man.
Was speaking to a couple of people yesterday at the stadium and it's great to hear, finally, a lot of real positive noises being made about the new East stand.0

We act like a premiership club in every way bar on the park. The BOD need to remember why we go to the football.
