While I agree with this position broadly it may also have to be considered that the removal of VAR may have an even further detrimental affect on the standard of refereeing in Scotland. How many refs would chuck it if they were suddenly told, you won't ever be able to ref at the highest level in UEFA/FIFA competitions. Would it affect the uptake further down the chain if that barrier was put up. I'm not suggesting that the refs should take priority over the game going fan but they are an integrally important part of the game.

I guess this has already been covered but I can't be arsed looking. Does the diddyship go into a 4/6 split after Rd 33 meaning teams in the bottom 6 can finish no higher than 5th in the Diddyship?? So teams in the top 6 of the Premiership will play only 30 diddyship games whereas the bottom 6 will play 32.

In the same season that we've won at Ibrox, beaten Hibs with 10 men in a semi, had some very respectable performances in Europe, we have picked up 6 league wins. Half of which have come against the only other two teams currently below us in the table. We've won TWICE out of NINETEEN games against the teams from 3rd to 9th. Those teams are Hearts, St Mirren, Killie, Dundee, Hibs, Motherwell and St Johnstone. This really is as bad as I can remember. f**k, if it wasn't for the 5 points we'd picked up against the bigot brothers to County's zero. And the 6 we've got against them, we'd be cut adrift in 11th. Aberdeen FC have been well and truly cormacked.

Aberdeen can now finish no higher than 4th but can still clinch automatic group stage football by way of winning the Scottish Cup. On to the weekend. Ross County will be consigned to the bottom 6 if they don't beat Hearts and even if they do, they will still be bottom 6 if Dundee pick up anything against Rangers or Hibs beat Livingston. Aberdeen will definitely finish in the bottom half if Dundee better Aberdeen's result against Motherwell or if the Dons lose or draw and Hibs win. St Johnstone will finish bottom half if they draw or lose and Hibs or Dundee win. St Mirren can clinch a top 6 finish if they beat Kilmarnock and Hibs lose to Livingston.

A Rangers defeat combined with with the Czech clubs picking up 3 points from their 3 games (3 draws or a win and a draw) will see them move up to Tenth meaning no guaranteed Champions league spot. 11th and 12th I'd say are the goldilocks spots for us. Still means the Cup Winners or 3rd place team are guaranteed Conference league groups while the Bigot Brothers don't get in the CL.
