  1. You almost come across as having a sense of entitlement...
  2. Some clubs sold more season tickets than others?
  3. Strange as it might sound, but Saturday's visit to Montrose will be our biggest test yet as we have finally put our head above the parapet by reaching the top of the league. Despite winning at Tannadice and seeing off Hearts in the League Cup we would appear to have remained below the radar, but things are about to change. We need to continue with the high standards that we have set for ourselves and avoid any kind of complacency...
  4. Young must go to Hampden to collect his Manager of the Month award? No need for a campaign. It's in the bag...
  5. Never underestimate the fun of a quarter final in Dublin...
  6. Isn't that what the East Fife Mail is for? Trying to play down derby defeats for Raith Rovers? No, that's definitely the job of the Fife Free Press...
  7. Scary Bear would be the obvious candidate. I thought he'd bottomed out when he posted that it was acceptable to blacken up at Halloween. I was wrong...
  8. Would take Marshall, Kirk and Durie. Possibly Mitchell, Kirkwood, Inglis and Hunter. To enhance the bench obviously...
  9. In 1950, when the record attendance at Bayview was set, the terracing was significantly bigger at the north and east sides of the grounds. When the covered enclosure was built in 1967 the height of the terracing was reduced, affecting the overall capacity. In 1970 at a Scottish Cup quarter final against Dundee the official attendance was given as just under 15,000, although there were claims that the crowd was much bigger as some spectators watched the game in front of the perimeter fence. When the terracing was fully concreted in 1981 the capacity was reduced further after the height of the terracing was again shortened...
  10. Going into the game yesterday I was quietly confident as I thought we were man for man the better squad. We needed a 9/10 performance, similar to the Airdrieonians one however, which is never a given. The other factors that could have worked against us were the conditions and the old derby game leveller. It turned out that we got the 9/10 performance required and despite the slightly edgy few minutes at 3-2 ran out comfortable winners. Forfar Athletic away will be just as big a challenge in my opinion...
  11. That particular winning streak was our best in all competitions since 1961. Hope you enjoyed your day...
  12. In fairness the roaring round in circles is actually semi-decent banter* *To a Fife fan, half-jaked, waiting up for the Raith TV highlights...
  13. Communities. I'm staying up for another couple of beers. Thank you...
  14. Ross made an uncharacteristic mistake which was punished. He'd be the first man on my teamsheet every week...
  15. Maybe you'd like to post a league table of which mining community got the f**k battered out of it the most after the pit closures if it makes you happy...
  16. Is this some kind of effort to play the socio-economic card?
  17. Most of the bookings were correct (possible case of mistaken identity in Dunsmore). Watt should probably also have been carded for persistent fouling and Matthews certainly should have for his push on the Gaffer...
  18. On a slight tangent, the use of mpg. We stopped selling fuel using gallons as measurement in the mid 1980s in Scotland...
  19. The mistake from a defensive point of view was not picking up Liam Watt in time to show him away from goal on his left foot...
  20. Can anyone suggest what Scotrail are supposed to do in these circumstances?
