In 1970 at a Scottish Cup quarter final against Dundee the official attendance was given as just under 15,000, although there were claims that the crowd was much bigger as some spectators watched the game in front of the perimeter fence. When the terracing was fully concreted in 1981 the capacity was reduced further after the height of the terracing was again shortened...

Going into the game yesterday I was quietly confident as I thought we were man for man the better squad. We needed a 9/10 performance, similar to the Airdrieonians one however, which is never a given. The other factors that could have worked against us were the conditions and the old derby game leveller. It turned out that we got the 9/10 performance required and despite the slightly edgy few minutes at 3-2 ran out comfortable winners. Forfar Athletic away will be just as big a challenge in my opinion...

That particular winning streak was our best in all competitions since 1961. Hope you enjoyed your day...
