  1. Almost have to admire the brass neck on the c**t - accusing anyone else of being a media grifter is something else.
  2. Absolutely furious that i didn’t get to vote in the Senedd elections recently just because I live 300 odd miles away from Wales. A fucking disgrace if you ask me.
  3. https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/sport/19542651.mccall-calls-perspective-wake-arbroath-defeat/ Docherty and Hastie should be available for tomorrow, but Bell remains a doubt. No mention of McKenna. McCall also says we’re still looking for one more defender. Only logic I can see in Muirhead is that he can play in both defence and midfield, and offers experience that we’re maybe lacking in defence particularly, but i still wouldn’t be keen. As above, we need a full back rather than a centre half and if we’re looking to get promoted at any point soon, which I assume is the aim internally, then we already know he’s not up to it in the Premiership.
  4. It’s not really though, is it? It’s not a good result, but it’s no like they’ve been beaten by absolute diddies.
  5. Aye, I want a match abandoned and running battles on the pitch effort now.
  6. Opening half hour here has firmly cemented Murray Davidson as one of my favourite non-Thistle players.
  7. Just out of interest, what specific policies do you think they should have pushed for?
  8. May 2063 It wasn't quite the highs we hit in April, but I'll take that. A remarkable month for big Igor Tasev though, who doubled his goal tally for the season. In any case, we were really just looking for a couple of points to ensure that we stayed up, and we managed seven out of twelve - would that be enough? Aye, it would. Somehow we've managed to finish in the top half of the table and sixth place. It's something to build on at least, but the top four in this league are an absolute mile ahead of the rest of us.
  9. Aye, 12 quid. It was good quality last season, but not great in our game against Queen of the South. Our commentators are a bit shite, too.
  10. In one away from Chelsea/England, we have Juventus back up goalkeeper Carlo Pinsoglio. He’s 31, and apart from 2 seasons in his early 20’s has been on the books at Juventus since he was 10. In all that time, he’s made 4 league appearances for them. He only made his debut for them in 2018, a full 18 years after first arriving at the club. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlo_Pinsoglio
  11. Do Chelsea not do this sort of thing loads? I’m sure there was stuff about them having basically an entire squads worth of players out on loan at any one time, and very few of them ever making an impact at Chelsea. Tomas Kalas was another of theres - on the books at Chelsea between the ages of 17 and 26 - made 4 Chelsea appearances, and had 8 separate loan spells at other clubs. Now plays for Bristol City. Across the City, Arsenal have goalkeeper Dejan Iliev, who is 26, been there for 9 years and has never managed to make an appearance. He’s only made the bench 3 times. There’s probably going to be a goalkeeper somewhere who’s came through the youth teams somewhere and just hung around that club most of their career being second/third choice.
  12. Aye, but they never used to be. Which is why it’s so funny tbh.
  13. The goalkeeper can make a big difference in how the defence performs though. We used to see it when Cerny was out of the team and Ryan Scully or that massive German clown came in and everyone just looked more nervy and worse with him behind them. I’m not suggesting that Sneddon is solely responsible, and I don’t think there’s a goalkeeper on Earth who could make a pairing of Steven Saunders and Sean McGinty look good, but I don’t think that having a shite defence is enough of a factor to excuse Sneddon’s shortcomings. I think he’s had more than a fair chance to make the first choice keeper position firmly his own, and he’s failed to do it because he’s not quite up to it.
  14. It’s not just that Sneddon makes mistakes, it’s that he’s proven over the course of several seasons that he simply isn’t good enough. Stone’s had one bad game, which is a bit different. I’d prefer to give the guy who looks better a run in the team. I couldn’t give a f**k about ‘one of our own’
  15. Aye, don’t get me wrong I’m only here for the money. My jobs not dreadful or anything, bits of it are quite enjoyable, but if I didn’t need to work there’s absolutely no chance I’d continue to do so. A big thing for me I’ve found is working in the public sector, which I do now, is massively less shit, despite everything. It used to really get to me knowing that I’d go to work for 9 hours a day, and the only reason I was there was so that a guy I fucking hated could become richer.
  16. I think the best anyone can hope for is not actively hating their job, and getting some degree of satisfaction out of it. But even if someone does really like their job, there will be something about it that they don’t enjoy/look forward to
  17. Mate, I’ve read the thread. It was a load of stuff about the fact that the DUP never received the money themselves, it went to the NI executive and whether or not that still constitutes a bribe and then you hit out with… Which is completely irrelevant to whether or not they got a bribe. It’s like if I said that the Orange Order weren’t responsible for the 2007 financial crisis, that’s not me defending their other atrocious qualities.
  18. Aye, I’m not really sure that saying ‘the DUP weren’t paid a billion quid to help the Tories’ is the same as saying ‘homophobia and bigotry of all kinds is fantastic’ but whatever.
  19. Genuinely staggered the pundits are saying that’s not a penalty. And I don’t think Tierney was at fault for the first goal - has to go with the runner in Mount and hardly his responsibility that no one bothered to cover him.
  20. They do, but it’s also clearly a worse squad than - at least - Man City’s and Chelsea’s. And also have a clearly worse manager than both, too.
