  1. Auch geez a break, I never said you can’t, just usual people going off on a tangent and not taking in the way the post is convey or meant. There are people on here saying the league must be finished. I only posted for one reason and one reason alone when people are stating something that is not true, there is no need for it to be finished. If the league starts then that is great as these lads in the development league have been shafted the most out of most youth teams. Nearly a 6 week spell not allowed to train or play games and then when allowed back, new government changes making their training all non contact. Yes all correct in the rules, just happens that the conditions have affected the dev teams the most. The fact is. If the Council / Health board regions go down to tier 2, whatever development fixture listed is next then that game will be played and the rest of the other fixtures will be played and the fixtures that have been missed so far will try to be squeezed in but its no big deal if it isn't.
  2. Guess what, the coaches of the development teams are not in charge of the development teams, the first team are. Those coaches wont last too long if they are only interested in winning the league and not developing players. Young players always want to win and so they should, but developing those players is the remint of the first team and the coaching staff of the development teams, if they dont produce, then the first team committee etc... will get someone else
  3. The game dates that have already passed, DO NOT NEED TO TAKE PLACE The leagues are not about finishing and not about the leagues. The development league is about developing players, nothing more, nothing less. . If and when the league starts it will finish on the last league date as expected so if the league games are not finished, so what. Also winning each league does not put a team in the top division, why, because it will be conference leagues again and again each season
  4. Guys, you need to realize this is a development league, its not about winning. The whole point is for training and match games to develop players so big deal if the season finishes, league finishes NO. yes the league is there to be won and a goal for the players As far as I've have bene officially told and read up on, The league fixtures are out there for the whole season. For example if the development teams get the go ahead on Tuesday the 12th of January to start playing and training, the next schedule game which is on the 15th will start immediately. Lets make things clear, no league games or cup games with the development teams for 20/21 will be finished in season 21/22. it will be a new start for season 21/22 if we come out of the pandemic or the tiers go down to levels 2
  5. Not wanting it to be taken personally but do you know something more than most of us and do you know more than some of those who are in direct conversations with people involved. I can say, 100%, from the people I've had conversations with that the choice was up to the clubs. They were given guidelines, the ones who withdrew were told how it would work when they came back the following season and the ones who stay and play were told of the advantages and penalties if withdrawing after the deadlines this season and that they will remain in the same divisions the following season. Lets make it clear, its been a big deal all ex junior teams leaving the junior ranks to join the senior ranks, (some forced because the West Junior association said they wont be running in season 20/21) and with the the Lowland league and the West of Scotland wanting all the clubs to survive and want them all to participate next year and not fold. So they gave them the choice to withdraw of not
  6. Hell no, definitely not. just the league and the Soccer Challenge cup
  7. Everything your saying is a windup and NOT TRUE No team can block a player from leaving ffs The only way the players can stay is that the team keeps paying their wage. If amateur, the player can just contact the SFA and then be released within 30 days or is is 40, I forget
  8. Two things, the winner of the premier league does not get promoted to the Lowland league. The winner is eligible for the playoff between the EOSFL, the SOSFL and the WOSFL, even then as you state, they winner of each league must be licensed to enter the playoff Agreed that is your view that it will be a financial disaster for these clubs, but you and I and many are not privy to the workings, the financial clout or lack of with these clubs so its mainly guess work by everyone on here. Some people on here might have a full understanding of a specific club but not all of them. The decision of the clubs to continue OR not, are there for them to choose. If some clubs can arrange to play the season without doing themselves and their club harm then great. if clubs think it is dodgy to stay in the league this season then they have the opportunity to oppt out, (a couple of times). So its really up to each individual club to do their due diligence and make sure all bases are covered based on their decision to stay in the league or withdraw for this season. At least the WOSFL is giving them an option to stay or withdraw which I think is great.
  9. Monthly wow.... My workplace has worked right through lockdown. Our cleaning regime has quadrupled and in addition everyone cleans their workplace before and after work every day. You lot haven't changed anything except a monthly deep clean. You have got to be kidding... Or perhaps just making it up!!!! Mystic yip, i agree with you but in regarding football grounds and their changing rooms if its used for one club and supposedly two home games a month then the changing rooms will be used twice. A deep clean is to get everything in order then a basic sterile clean is required after each use.
  10. I get that but I'm not asking that.. I'm asking are they allowed to do so and would they want too Not one team's main reason is about safety of players. its all about finance all the other reasons are secondary, the safety reason is just something to add on top of it. Out with all the finance, safety protocol and players safety are the withdrawn clubs allowed to play friendlies. ie. the WOSFL might not allow it as it might mess with their fixture program
  11. We all are bored to tears. Its crap cause none of us can get to any games. Just want to get all the teams playing, all the fans back and the carry on and the windups and hopefully no one taking things personal Except him and her over there >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
  12. ffs Blackiegold, don't say that, the replies can go down any avenue or any route
  13. As the title says, are teams who have withdrawn from the WOSFL allowed to play friendlies. I've not seen anyone mention this or read about it anywhere else Obviously teams like Arthurlie and Glenafton have released all their players so I surmise they cannot play games but the teams like Pollok, Auchinleck etc are they allowed to as they are part of the WOSFL association so suppose their permission is required and in realty would any of the withdrawn teams want to play friendlies this season
  14. No sermon as you put it. if you want a sermon, can easily point you in the right direction as my sermons can be very deep. I find it strange however, why didn't you post it in the Rabs post then as its your comments is all about Rob Roys decisions and NOT Darvel
  15. Yeah but its got nothing to do with last year. How there hell cant you see that. Its all totally different this year. They may have different people in their committee with different views as well. Auchinleck is a different team from Darvel and there are no fans allowed. if you are looking at it objectively then yes its easy to understand. I haven't a reason why they didn't do that last year but as I said, its all totally different now
  16. pmsl, I find it strange that we never found the killer of Jon F Kennedy but then again I didn't look into it too deeplyy That was last season in the junior league when everything was fine and all football went ahead, it s a new season, in a different league and there's a pandemic so what's the problem. Most teams just want to get a game going, (in all leagues and associations), so there is no backlog incase there might be weeks missing that no football is allowed by the Government.
  17. Burnieman, thanks for clearing that up The changing rooms, are they just used for the away team or do both teams use the changing rooms
  18. Yeah agreed with you. I'm just saying what the rules are. its shite. The rules have feck all to do with the WOSFL, its hitting every other team and association. I've been reading that a few few teams in the East have allowed some of the away players to use the changing rooms. I'm hopefully that something can be arranged if football is allowed to continue during the pandemic. Arranged as in changing rooms eventually being allowed under certain strict rules and hopefully fans being allowed in under certain strict rules, again, not just with the WOSFL but throughout the country and all associations
  19. Probably gonna suffer a backlash here but maybe I'm thinking wrongly. but if any team pays players, part time or full time are they not considered professional or part time professional team Are some teams run at a high standard and are some teams run at a low standard, yes of course so but if they still pay players then yes, they are classed as professional, either full time or part time. Another post above. about changing out in the rain. The players MUST receive their strips earlier and come to the game changed in the strip and then leave in the strip. I would expect and hope some teams let the players change their clothes in the stand / cover when they head for home but unsure if that's part of the rules
  20. The original rules set down for training and games had to be changed as it was found out match officials couldn't cope with what was asked to be done to keep within the restrictions posed by Scottish Government, then SFA and the WOSL. But this is all trial and error and none of us have been through a pandemic before that has affected our football . The referee had no jurisdiction to speak to the video guy to inform him that the game is not to be filmed. it has nothing to do with the referee. (only in youth football does he have a say) Its the home team who can give the go ahead to games being videoed. Probably the only unwritten rule is that the team who films the match, should give a copy of the full match to the opposing team
  21. No team can stop a player from playing unless he's on a professional contract then said club must honor the contract by paying what is agreed on contract to hold onto the player. If the player is on an amateur's contract then the club should realise him if he's asks, if they hold onto it, then the player can contact the SFA and get release within, ( I'm sure ) 30 days
  22. In total agreement with that, of course its not the time, Heard today that in the past 24 hours its bene the highest infected with Covid recorded, some 1450 people in Scotland. (still hoping I heard incorrectly) No matter what anyone thinks, either who are against it or for it, the pyramid system is a great idea if run correctly and every association will have problems right now. Just typical of the biggest amount of teams joining the SFA at once and then we are all hit with the Covid. When we still have covid, everything will be up in the air but hopefully once dealt with I can see the pyramid system just growing. The WOFSl and Lowland league are trying their best in the current circumstances to get it up and running due to the restrictions form the SFA and ultimately the Scottish Government
  23. Yes correct, if the player is on a professional contract. Also if they loan the player out to a team who will pay their wages then said player is still contracted to Pollok. for example I think I'm correct in thinking that a Pollok player is loaned out to BSC
  24. With Pollok for example. one of the big clubs, with paying support and no sugar daddy, Id say their average crowd being somewhere from 400 to 600, ( some games were way above that size), last year and with a normal playing squad about 24/25, the minimum they would be paying out just for playing staff would be about £2000 a week, and that's a conservative estimate on outlay, I'd really expect nearing £3000 and if Pollok were charging £7 a game for the new season and new league then it would be somewhere between £2800 and £4200 a week that they are bringing in if its one game per week. Personally this tells me that its totally understandable why Pollok pulled the plug this season and I don't blame them. You could go through the reasoning for each and every team who has withdrawn this season and the same with every team that stayed. We could never envisage this Covid effect throughout the world and how its massacred our football throughout the country and I don't think any blame can be put on any of the clubs for their decision or for the associations and the decisions they came to being spelt out by the Government and Nicola Sturgeon
  25. Guys n gals, sorry if missed the info. When is the latest deadline date and time for missing out the league season in the WOSFL ? Is there two deadlines, think i read somewhere ?
